Can’t go past it you have to try it to believe it.

What a crack this place was great we had a grandmother paddle us around the plantation canals and across the river and the only words she knew was Aussie Aussie Aussie number 1. The quick tour was just a paddle and to give money to the locals but we had the best with the other boats guests and paddlers interacting with each other. Out on the river the young paddlers did stunts on their round boats for money and a lame singer sang a couple of songs for tips and loud music playing. You will see the standard photographer taking photos and trying to sell them at the end. You cannot go past this place it was actuality fun to do.

Excellent cooking course

Absolutely loved this trip. Our guide took us to the local market to pick up fresh ingredients for the cooking class. It was very interesting to see all the different products on the market. The actual cooking class was fabulous, our teacher( sorry can't remember name) was lovely and very patient. We produced some lovely food. We also went out on a short boat ride on a basket boat which was fun.

Response from the operator: We are happy to meet you, hope to see you again soon

Best experience ever!

I don't know exactly how I found you, but I must have read something great. This experience exceeded our expectations in the best possible way. It was amazing from beginning to end. It was a private cooking class which was great to do with two little kids of almost 2 and 4 years old. Highly recommend it. We started with shopping at the market where she explained more about the food, then we had the coconut basket tour followed by preparing a delicious meal. The taste was so good!!! During cooking our kids needed a bit of attention and as they were with 2, one of them took very good care of our kids. Unexcepted and very nice welcome surprise! This gave us the opportunity to enjoy cooking together and eating as a family when we finished cooking. Absolutely amazing!

Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class cost?

+

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class take?

+

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoi An: Market Visit, Basket Boat Ride, and Cooking Class start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
