Thanks again for an unforgettable morning and for the souvenir photos! We had a wonderful time, full of new discoveries and shared moments. We were lucky enough to learn how to cook traditional dishes, surrounded by warm, smiling people who shared their knowledge with such simplicity and generosity. The meal was delicious, and we truly enjoyed every moment of this wonderful experience. It is a memory we will cherish for a long time. A huge thank you once again for your hospitality, your kindness, and the wonderful time you shared with us!

A great way to spend a day!!

We had the best time on our cooking class day. A trip to the local market, a very memorable coconut boat ride with our very enthusiastic paddlers who entertained, and a fab cooking experience. We learnt some key Vietnamese recipes and techniques in a fun and friendly setting and then enjoyed our food with a beer in a lovely relaxed environment. When ready to go we enjoyed a walk through the produce gardens before being taken back to our hotel. Amazing people and experience, really great way to spend a day.

An Unforgettable Culinary and Relaxation Experience

I had a wonderful time at the Mai Home Hoi An cooking class. The day started in the morning with a fascinating tour of the herb garden, where I loved learning the names and seeing what various local plants actually look like up close. When the cooking class began, I got right to work chopping fresh fruits and vegetables, preparing sauces, and sizzled everything up in the pan. I honestly felt like a contestant on MasterChef—it was such a fun and engaging experience! Eating the final dish was the best part; it turned out delicious (huge thanks to the chef, aka me! haha). To top it all off, the session ended with a relaxing coconut oil foot massage. It was a pleasant surprise, but since it was included in the program, I was happy to sit back and enjoy it. The team at Mai Home is incredibly positive, welcoming, and helpful. Our guide, who was also our cooking instructor, spoke excellent English, making the entire class smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Hoi An!

Great Cooking Class Experience

I would recommend this cooking class when you’re in Hoi An. The cooking class included several things, a tour around the village, welcome drinks, foot massage and the cooking class. The guides were really nice & friendly as well giving instructions that were easy tk follow. Our food turned out really well and they were really nice to forward us the recipes. Highly recommend cooking the “fish cooked in claypot”, it’s our favourite dish and will definitely cooking this when we’re back home!

Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride cost?

+

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 186 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride?

+

Around 65 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoi An Cooking Class With Market Tour and Bamboo Basket Boat Ride start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
