True Cultural Experience
We had such a wonderful experience at Hoi An Organic Cooking Class by Vy. The day was much more than just a cooking class. We started by learning about the organic produce and ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking, before visiting the local market, which was a great way to experience everyday Vietnamese life and learn more about the fresh ingredients. We then went to the family’s beautiful 100-year-old home, where the chef taught us how to prepare and cook three traditional Vietnamese dishes. Everything was explained clearly, the food was delicious, and the setting made the whole experience feel very authentic and personal. One of the highlights of our time in Hoi An. If you want to learn about Vietnamese food and culture rather than simply attend a cooking class, we would highly recommend it.

Must do if in Hoi An
” For us aged 19 and 21 from Manchester we couldn’t have imagine to get to know two unbelievable traditional local hoi AN people better. The VY cooking class opened our eyes to how Asia cook their food and how the hold process works in leading up to a heart warming meal. Vietnamese people don’t just cook food but they grow their own ingredients. Katie and chef showed us this process all morning which the knowledge of the chef is second to none. We enjoyed seeing the local market and trying food that authentic Vietnamese people have on a day to day basis. When coming to hoi an and if you want to learn about culture you have to go to organic cooking class by VY. This literally could be tik tok famous it was that good.

An amazing experience
The experience was amazing. Nhung and Nguyen do such an amazing job creating an authentic experience. The length of visit worked perfectly with our children who absolutely loved it. This is our second time doing it and it is always an amazing and fun experience. Food is outstanding and we will definitely be back again.

Fantastic class!
Our hosts were so amazing! They spoke great English and our conversations were really interesting. First they showed us their organic Vietnamese herb garden, then took us through their local market, then we cooked four delicious dishes together. Our highlight was cooking recipes with organic Vietnamese herbs straight from a garden, as they made the food taste so much better than the rest of the meals we have tried on the trip. It is worth noting that there is a short bike/ motorcycle ride to the market and another short ride to the cooking class location from the meeting point so be prepared for this (clothes/ sunscreen etc.). We highly recommend you add this class to your trip!
