Fantastic way to see Mauritius
We had two day trips with Mautourco - one to the south and one, an historic tour including Port Louis and the botanical gardens. Our guide Raggoo could bug have been better , very knowledgeable and made a huge effort to stop and show us things - like the red pineapple and the pink pigeons which other guides were driving past. He also bought us some chili pineapple to try. A very safe driver and would highly recommend his skills.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving us this wonderful review. We will be pleased to share your positive comments with our colleagues. We look forward to your next visit. Regards, Mautourco Team

Highly recommend the capital and the north tour with Raggoo
We had the private tour with Sunil Raggoo. Our tour was Stroll in the Past, mainly the capital Port Louis, Sugar Factory Museum, Botanical Garden and the north of the island. Raggoo is a very professional tour guide. He did not only drop us in the places but in our visits he really guided us explaining the history of the island, hidden gems and answered all our questions. Due to heavy rain, we were not able to visit the Botanic gardens, as it was closed. However, Raggoo did not mind to change the route and took us to the north of the island (Grand Baie) and showed us other beauties of the island. 2 days before this tour, we had another tour to the South of the Island (group tour) with another tour agency and we really regretted that we did not do the same tour with Raggoo, as he explained us even about the places there that we did not hear from the other tour guide. Overall, we were very pleasant with the tour that he gave us. We highly recommend to book the tour with him if you are seeking for a friendly and professional service and would like to learn about the island and its history.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with our Historical Guided Day Tour! We're delighted to hear that Mr Raggoo's professionalism, knowledge, and flexibility made your trip so memorable, even with the weather changes. We truly appreciate your high recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back to Mauritius for more unforgettable adventures!

Excellent service from Raggoo.
Just back from a fantastic trip with Raggoo. Stroll in the past tour of the north of the island. Could not recommend him enough, so very knowledgeable and welcoming! We saw soo much in the day, Raggoo was always on hand and an attentive tour guide. The selection of activities was perfect for a day!
Response from the operator: Greeting from Mautourco Thank you so much to leave us this wonderful review and we will be pleased to convey your positive comments to our Colleagues Raggoo. We look forward to your next visit. Regards, Mautourco team

Interesting and varied tour
The Maurtourco desk at the airport sorted us very quickly on arrival and took us to our hotel. The rep met us the day after we arrived and explained how things worked on Mauritius and what we could do. We chose the historical tour by coach. The guide was excellent and spoke English as well as Italian - switching between languages fluently. She knew the sites we were visiting and ably guided us around the Botanic Gardens, then the sugar/rum factory before Port Louis and the aquarium. A fabulous day out and excellent value (£170 for the two of us which included all the entry fees).
Response from the operator: Greeting from Mautourco We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us we will convey your positive comments to our Colleagues. We look forward to your next visit. Regards, Mautourco Team

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Louis.
How much does Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Louis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Port Louis is not rushed.
Is Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Louis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Louis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Louis and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Historical Guided Day Tour : City - Sugar World - Botanical Garden start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Louis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Port Louis?
+
On Outty we rank every Port Louis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Port-Louis Street Food Tour, Private taxi : North guided tour of mauritius., Private taxi : South west guided tour of mauritius.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Port Louis?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Port Louis?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
