    No Tour-No Refund

Brad texted Thursday night to tell us the guide had been called back for Jury Duty and the Friday morning tour was cancelled. He offered a tour Friday afternoon, but we had another scheduled for Friday afternoon. He assured me he would submit a refund request to the seller and our card would be credited within 5-7 working days. That was almost four weeks ago, and each time I contact Brad regarding the refund, he has another excuse. If you read his reviews, I am not the only one who is attempting to obtain a refund from him. Would recommend you find another tour company.

Response from the operator: Since we don’t sell the tickets, their ticket seller did, we are not privy to when the refund has been completed. This guest would message us every two weeks asking about the refund making it take far longer to complete the refund process than it normally would. She then leaves a bad review for a tour she was never able to take.

    William Spinx was so...

William Spinx was so knowledgeable and enjoyable! I’d do any tour that he guides. This was the favorite tour we did and we did 4 in our short time in Savannah. He did the city proud!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review. I think you made him misty eyed. 😂

    No thanks

We got rescheduled twice, which was fine, but on the day of the tour the guide was late and didn’t text or anything to let us know he would be late. If he was late only, that would have been okay but being late after rescheduling twice was a no go for us so we waited till 1:06 (tour started at 1) and left.

Response from the operator: We had to reschedule the Homes tour twice due to our scheduled guide being out with the flu. We gave the guests ample time to reschedule and they eagerly did. We rescheduled for a special afternoon Homes tour that they quickly accepted. Our guide giving the Homes tour was a few (1:07pm)minutes late getting to the square because he had to assist an elderly man to his hotel after the morning tour and took a few min longer than expected so he skipped his lunch break. All the other guests who arrived for the 1:00pm tour were there when the guide arrived but this guest chose to leave the square within minutes of the tour starting. The guide texted the guests upon arriving to the square but there was no response. The other guests on the tour suspected they had found something they would rather do at that time. She later told us she left the negative review because she had not yet received her refund. That’s not the purpose of reviews and refunds are not processed on weekends.

    Great tour

Absolutely loved having William as our guide. Very informative and not boring at all. Kept you interested and could tell he had a real passion and intrest in the topic.

Response from the operator: Thank you do much for the review! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your tour!!

    No Show

We arrived for our tour at the designated meeting time and location. Nobody showed up to give the tour. We could have scheduled another time and day, but, we had already made plans for the days we were visiting the city.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review! If you recall, our guide had called in having Covid 19 and we gave you a list of alternate tour times and dates and asked you to choose one and confirm a date. You never did. You just showed up on an alternate date that happened to be on a rainy day that nobody signed up for. You would read our text messages but not respond to any of them and phone calls went to voicemail making communication with you frustrating.

Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Savannah.

How much does Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Savannah usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Savannah is not rushed.

Is Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Savannah, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Savannah can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Savannah and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Historic Homes of Savannah Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Savannah within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Savannah?

    +

Savannah is a walking city with a dense guide market, which means quality spread is wide. Historic district walks, Bonaventure Cemetery trips, trolley hop-on routes and ghost tours with tavern access make up most bookings. Outty Ranking leans on licensed-guide status and group size, since the squares get loud once a tour passes twenty people. On Outty we rank every Savannah experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Savannah Guided Walking Tour, Bonaventure Cemetery Walking Tour with Transportation, Haunted Savannah Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Savannah?

    +

March to May for azaleas, or October to November for cool evenings. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Savannah?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
