Know before you go
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Sports or trekking shoes (with a good grip) are mandatory and will be checked by the guide before starting the excursion. During our routes, we recommend mountain clothing or sports clothing.
- For logistical reasons during a "weekly route", lunch in a restaurant that we offer during the excursions may be replaced by a picnic (sandwich, energy bar, fruit, 1.0L bottle of water).
- In the period from April to September, rainfall is low, the temperature even in the highest part of the mountains is around 22 degrees, reaching up to 26 degrees in June, July and August. The T-shirt usually fits us well, but it is always good to wear long-sleeved clothing.
- The months of October to March are a variable period of time and more frequent rains (we always try to avoid carrying out our excursions during rainy days, but sometimes the weather can surprise us). It is recommended (during the mandatory cold days) warm clothing with long sleeves (pants, polartec) and a waterproof jacket that can work perfectly as a windbreaker.
- In the event of force majeure, including adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, a risk of forest fires, or any other circumstances that prevent the trip from continuing safely or pose a risk to the health or safety of the participants, the organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary, reschedule the trip to another date, or cancel it.
- Recommended minimum age for children: 8 years.

Amazing hiking day with beautiful views!
My mom and I had a top-notch experience on this hiking trip! Our guide picked us up right on time and drove us comfortably into the mountains near Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Together with a friendly and enthusiastic group of eight people, we enjoyed an amazing hike of approximately 7.5 km. We climbed steadily to the Cross of Tirajana, where we had lunch and some time to admire the stunning panoramic views. Throughout the hike, we maintained a good pace while taking regular short breaks to accommodate everyone in the group. Along the way, our guide shared some interesting facts about the local culture, history, and nature, and even included a few fun plant quizzes, keeping us engaged and curious. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic hiking-trip
Fantastic hike. We were a group of 8 in total. The friendly guide picked us all up, told us interesting facts during the hike. He kept the group together so that everyone actively participated. I really recommend this hiking trip to everyone! Very nice experience :)

Enjoyable mountain hike in Gran Canaria
This hiking trip completely delivered on our expectations. We chose a small group tour, and we were the max size of 8 on the day. We were collected from our hotel for a comfortable drive of around 1.5 hours to the mountains. The hike itself was enjoyable - the right level of difficulty for me (though more experienced hikers might want more challenge). Our guide Maciej was excellent, managing the different levels in the group to keep us all together, giving us breaks when needed and providing interesting narrative on the flora on the route. After the hike we had lunch at a restaurant - nothing exceptional, but perfectly fine and all we were expecting from a meal included in a group tour! Would definitely recommend this to intermediate level hikers - or young, fit beginners!

Great scenery, hiking in Barrancos and climbing in hills with stunning views and very well Guided.
An excellent days hike, the guide Majiec was very attentive to everybody's walking abilities and adjusted the pace to suit all. he was very knowledgeable and explained all the terrain the local history and the flora and fauna on the route. The scenery was amazing and the chance to explore the town at the end was a bonus. The whole trip from pick up to drop off was faultless and good value. The provided lunch was also very good.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gran Canaria.
How much does Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gran Canaria usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gran Canaria is not rushed.
Is Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gran Canaria, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gran Canaria can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gran Canaria and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gran Canaria within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gran Canaria?
+
On Outty we rank every Gran Canaria experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Puerto de Mogán: Coastal Cruise with Optional Snorkeling & Lunch, Guided tour of the Banana World, Gran Canaria Red Canyon: Small Group Tour & Local Food ツ. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gran Canaria?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gran Canaria?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria?
+
Included: trekking poles; In-vehicle air conditioning; International Half Mountain Guide; and Meals. Not included: Private transportation. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Hiking experience in central/north Gran Canaria include hotel pickup?
+
