Would recommend going there but not with this guide
It was a really beautiful place, that’s why they got 2 stars. But the guide was not good. We were a group of young adults who are a bit fit but the guide was walking so fast we could not keep up so instead of getting to enjoy the hike and the views we had to worry about not loosing the guide since there was multiple tracks going in different directions. Since he did not wait for us and just kept going we lost him a few times and had to shout for him hoping he would hear. He was also very stressed the whole time we were there which made us feel bad. The guide also tried to cancel our booking an hour before saying ”there will be so many people” (there were not that many people when we got there) which is not very professional when we have paid a lot of money. You should totally go there but avoid the guide named Daniel.

Beautiful canyon
The canyon was breath taking with falls and natural springs, soaking pool, and natural wild life all around. Daniel was super friendly, enthusiastic, easy to talk with, knowledgeable and just a fun, easy going guy. The hike was moderate yet steep and slippery in a few places but easy to navigate. We really enjoyed our hike and Daniel was wonderful.

Amazing hike!
Daniel was an amazing tour guide, he was knowledgeable and very helpful. It’s quite a workout but it’s an amazing hike.

More challenging than you might think especially for flatlanders
I enjoyed this experience. Daniel is s a great guide and a lot of the views are beautiful. But there are some things you should know before you go. First of all, if you are not used to the altitude, you will find this a challenging hike, especially on the way back at the mountain. There are a lot of places where the footing is not very good and this will take a lot of energy out of you. The pools themselves are not as pretty as they look in the pictures, but again this place is still nice. Just make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before, eat a good breakfast, stay hydrated, and use a lot of sunscreen.

Hike to local springs/waterfalls
Great experience & views that only the true locals know about! He was very knowledgeable & great with Spanish & English. Walk down the back roads & through the woods to get to beautiful waterfalls and springs to swim in. The hike back up was extremely challenging for me but not the others. Stopped at the general store for more water on the way back and a random guy climbed the tree to get us all fresh mangos. Very local and rewarding experience. I would highly recommend with 2 pairs of great shoes for 1. hiking and 2. walking in water. A light towel, snack. An extra change of cloths for after swimming to hike back up. A wonderful memory I will never forget!

How long does Hike and Swim in fresh springs and waterfalls in Guadalajara take?

Is Hike and Swim in fresh springs and waterfalls in Guadalajara worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Guadalajara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Hike and Swim in fresh springs and waterfalls in Guadalajara suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hike and Swim in fresh springs and waterfalls in Guadalajara?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Guadalajara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Guadalajara and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hike and Swim in fresh springs and waterfalls in Guadalajara start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Guadalajara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Guadalajara?
+
On Outty we rank every Guadalajara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Luxury Tequila Experience: VIP Tastings & Boutique Distilleries, Full Day Tour to Tequila and Amatitán with Fun and Culture, The Fire TOUR - Pyramids, Volcanoes, Agaves & Tequila. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Guadalajara?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Guadalajara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
