Excellent Service

We had a really great experience with this tour. Saw a lot of areas that we would have missed otherwise. Our guide, Darma, was really great company throughout the whole day and was extremely knowledgeable about every place we visited. He also gave us some great pointers for restaurants and general tips for staying in Ubud. Highly recommended!

A good day trip to explore Ubud

Firstly the communication was very good before our tour, we arranged everything online and it was easy. Our driver was on time picking us up & was very friendly and accommodating. We started at the monkey forest, then a coffee plantation, followed by lunch overlooking the volcano, before stopping at a rice paddy to finish off. Overall it was a very easy way to explore Ubud within a day. We particularly liked the coffee plantation and the monkey forest exceeded our expectations. However both the volcano and rice paddy were overly commercial. Our driver dropped us at a restaurant overlooking the volcano with a great view but with expensive and terrible looking food, we had to chase him to say we didn’t want to eat there. In fairness he was very accommodating finding somewhere else for us to eat, however he clearly didn’t know anywhere else in the area. Then the rice paddy had giant swings and sky-cycles, however we really just wanted to see the rice paddy in action and spend most of the time dodging people trying to sell us other things. Then the drive back to Nusa Dua took over 2 hours which we hadn’t realised. Overall we had a good time and it was a good way to break up a week of lying by the pool, however next time we’d do a bit more research to work out exactly what we want to do

Response from the operator: JimmyOnTripAdviser, Thank you for taking the time to write a review here on our TripAdvisor listing page. We feel sorry about what you have experienced at Kintamani Mt. Batur Volcano View and Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Kintamani Mt. Batur Volcano view is one of the famous sights in Bali, of course! this place always busy with tourist. There are many restaurants available but all serve traditional Balinese foods which we are not sure whether you like it or not. Unless if you tell us what would you like to have in advance then possibly we can take you there. Tegalalang Rice Terrace also one of famous tourist destinations, unless you go early morning, there will be fewer tourists. Besides, this place owns by local farmers which means they can make their own businesses. Apart from this, we're happy that we were able to exceed your expectation at other places. Thank you again for taking the time and hope to see you again. Many Thanks, Wayan Eza

Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuta.

How much does Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more cost?

+

Prices start at $7 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuta is not rushed.

Is Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuta and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Highlights of Ubud: Nature, Rice Terrace, Waterfall, Temple and more start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuta?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include East Bali Tour: Gate of Heaven, Water Palace, Sleeping Gajah, Ubud Day Tour: Sacred Monkey Forest, Tegenungan Waterfall, Rice Terrace, Bali 5 Days and 4 Nights Private Tour - Best and Famous Site. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuta?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuta?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
