Gergeti Trinity Church
Gergeti Trinity Church is a popular name for Holy Trinity Church near the village of Gergeti. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri and under Mount Kazbegi at an elevation of 2170 meters. The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. In times of danger, precious relics from Mtskheta, including Saint Nino's Cross were brought here for safekeeping. During the Soviet era, all religious services were prohibited, but the church remained a popular tourist destination. The church is now an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. From the church, you will get an epic panoramic view of the whole valley. The church due to its isolation in the steep mountainous area full of nature, the church remains the most iconic tourist attraction in Georgia. We will be impressed with the view of Mount Kazbegi, which is 5047 m high.

Great experience provided by a great guide!!
My dad and I went on this trip to see the Kazbegi mountains. From start to finish our experience was extremely enjoyable. Our guide Niko was very polite, knowledgable and friendly. All of his explanations were not too short or too long and were incredibly based in history, making the guided tour very educational. Niko thoroughly explained all of the sights, monuments and attractions very well and was extremely easy to talk to. Niko provided great detail about life in Georgia, which as a tourist from faraway, was very interesting to hear. The tour itself was phenomenal and all the places visited were beautiful. The group size was perfect not too big or too small and the bus we travelled on was very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anybody wanting to see some beautiful views and would also highly recommend our guide Niko!!!

A Great Way
A great way to explore the Caucasus Mountains without worrying about driving on difficult mountain roads. The stops at Jinvali Reservoir and Ananuri were beautiful, and Gergeti Trinity Church was definitely the highlight of the trip. The mountain views were incredible, and tasting local honey was a nice extra touch. A very good choice if you enjoy nature, history, and scenic places.

Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.
How much does Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour) take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.
Is Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 3,179 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour)?
+
Around 1,113 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Highlights of Caucasus Mountains-Jinvali,Ananuri,Gudauri,Kazbegi(Group tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tbilisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
