The day starts at the Kelpies, Andy Scott's 30-metre steel horse heads and one of the most photographed landmarks in the country. From there you'll head to Culross, a 17th-century village so untouched by time it's doubled for entire scenes in Outlander. The road then climbs through Glendevon, past reservoirs and empty hills that most visitors never get to see. You'll finish in Dunkeld, a small cathedral town on the River Tay where the 14th-century ruins sit right at the water's edge. The whole route flexes around what you actually want to see, so if a stop doesn't interest you, we'll swap it for one that does. For centuries, Highlanders have flocked to Crieff for the yearly Michaelmas cattle sale; when cows of every variety line the narrow streets, waiting to be sold. In 1790, for example, the population of Crieff was just 1,200, which gave the ratio of 10 cows for every resident! Today however, Crieff is much more recognised for being the home of Scotlands oldest registered distillery, Glenturret. Or you could even borrow a book from Innerpeffray Library - founded in 1680, it’s Scotland’s oldest lending library! Crieff is a stop everyone will love.

Three day private tour

Beautiful Scenery
Our great guide, Stuart, took us on a scenic drive up to Glencoe. Even though we had a bit of rain and the roads were crowded with tourists, Stuart made it fun, entertaining and informative. It was good to get out of the city and see some of Scotlands magnificent countryside. Stuart is a wonderful guide/photographer/historian/entertainer. We really enjoyed our two days with him and recommend TRIPorganizer without hesitation.
