What an experience!
My husband and I had the most incredible experience hiking with Mohammed through the High Atlas Mountains. It was quite hard — would highly recommend walking/ climbing shoes as we wore trainers and they were not particular suitable for the decent! Mohammed made us feel at ease and was very knowledgeable about the area. He was incredible! He took us to his village for lunch after the climb and it was one of our favourite meals in Morocco! Highly recommend this experience!

Let me just begin by saying that...
<p>Let me just begin by saying that this guided tour is hard!! Like... really hard - this is a 25 km hike in high altitude. I consider myself a quite fit 34-year-old bootcamp, crossfit and running every week and Ive been on multiple hikes in my life. This was a tough one! Our guide Omar literally ran up the mountains like a goat expecting us to be able to follow. This was impossible! There were no photo breaks, water breaks or pee breaks. He just needed to get from A to B as fast as possible it seemed. Yes, he was friendly and helpful, saving our lives several times when we got too close to the edges or were about to go face/bum down the steep mountain side. Did he give us any information about the nature, animals, the berber people or the environment? No. Did he tell us stories? No. He was just a person showing us the way - constantly walking around 100m ahead of us. <br/> Is this a hike for the average person? Sure, but be ready to suffer. You need to be able to cope with the high altitude 1900-2600m and a near run speed.<br/> It had said in the details of the tour that wed be passing by a market - we definitely didnt way any market, sadly enough. </p> <p>The good part is that youll be hiking in the middle of nowhere with no other tourists around. </p> <p>Good tour, although I really think they need to inform people to be in great condition, able to cope with high altitude and be experienced hikers. It doesnt say anywhere how long the hike is - we hiked 25 km which isnt possible for everyone. What do they do when they have semi unfit people or elderly average tourists?! A lot of the times there was no path and it was dangerous and steep.<br/> It was also quite expensive - we paid around 250 EUR for 3 people for a pickup, a hike, lunch and a drop off.</p>

Amazing
We were looking for a day to get out of the Médina and enjoy the mountains and this was an incredible way to do it! Our guide was very friendly and informative and the views of the mountains were amazing! The lunch stop in one of the Berber villages was delicious! Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing Day in the Mountains
We spent 5 days in Marrakesh and this day was our favorite. Everything on the tour was exactly as advertised except they failed to say how professional and friendly their staff is. I can’t remember our driver’s name, but both he and Mohamed (our trekking guide) spoke very good English, were helpful and knowledgeable about the areas. They were happy to converse with us or give us our space. They were also safety conscious on the roads and trails. The trails were steep and sometimes rocky but manageable for a generally fit person. The time spent trekking was right at 6 hours and we covered 14-15 miles. We took a good long break for lunch and were served walnuts, mint tea, chicken tagine, couscous, buttered noodles, and clementines. Plenty of food for all. This trip is a little pricey, but as it was a private tour with just myself, husband and two teenage daughters, with all that was included I found it well worth the cost.
