    MUST DO hummingbird sanctuary experience

This experience was an incredible opportunity to learn more about the national bird of Jamaica - the hummingbird. Dasayev was an outstanding host and really customized the experience for me to help me maximize my time on my final day in Jamaica before traveling home. I loved feeding the hummingbirds, and the views from the sanctuary overlooking the city were unrivaled. You should book this experience!!

    Excellent day in Bird Sanctuary

About the tour: It is as raw as possible. One hour road to sanctuary, around 2 hours there and 1 hour back. In the sanctuary you pay entry ticket 25$ cash pp and you are given a chair and a small bottle with sugar syrup. Then you need to wait. For us birds arrived in 5 minutes and we seen 3 different kinds of hummingbirds feeding from our hands. When this tiny creature sits on your finger and starts to feed miracle happens. If you think that it will not happen for you, you are better not to go there. About the tour company: Das is operating small family business and they are doing their best. I took tours from 4 different tour providers and Das was just on other level. They are going the extra mile and doing everything to satisfy the client. After the tour he stopped for us near some street fruit seller and we tried almost everything. He paid for us and charged us absolutely nothing for that. It happened because we told him that we didn't tried good coco. I definitely recommend Das for any kind of tour and activity. You will be satisfied with their services for sure.

    Excellent Trip

We took this trip with Daz from Finesse Jamacia tours. The day ran very smoothly we were picked up on time from our hotel and driven to Rocklands Humming bird centre on the way Daz pointed out areas of interest and stopped for a quick photo stop at the best locations. At the centre we were told about the birds and held little bottles of nectar to feed them. It was a magical experience and made for dome great photo opportunities. We were never rushed and only left when we had enough. We them moved on to the rafting centre where we had a lovely float down the river with an optional limestone leg massage if required.. The boat captain Freddy was very accommodating and let us steer the boat a bit for photo opportunities and stopped at key locations along the way. To be honest the boat trip was a bit shorter than I expected but it was a great experience overall. Then Daz returned us to our hotel in time for lunch. I would highly recommend this trip and the company. Do check their Web site for other tours they offer.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package cost?

    +

Prices start at $290 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hidden Waterfalls, Bird Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting combo package start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
