What you get

    About this experience

The Hidden Montenegro tour is both a panoramic experience and glance at the Montenegro of yesteryear. In the Lovcen National park, the abandoned village of Majstori, and the Austro-Hungarian Fortress, Gorazda offer unique slices of Montenegrin life at different points in history. This self-guided tour is an opportunity to see parts of Montenegro that even locals rarely visit. After the safety and bike orientation, we'll provide detailed instructions for you to reach Majstori, 12 kilometers away from the cable car station, initially on asphalt and eventually on a hard packed dirt road. From Majstori you'll return back and pass the cable car station before starting an initial descent of 900 meters in a series of 25 switchbacks to the Gorazda fortress, and explore that Austro-Hungarian relic before descending back to Kotor.

    Great tour; beautiful views!

Armando was a great guide! The e-bikes allowed us to cover a lot of ground and see some amazing views of Montenegro. He even called us in the morning to tell us to bring a sweatshirt because it would be could at the top of the mountain. Unfortunately we didn’t get the message until we were off the ship. It was cold, but we survived! Highly recommend this tour!

    Unbelievable evoke trip

Fabulous experience would do it again. Rodrigo was an excellent guide. We had never ridden an E bike before but we felt very safe and it’s ability to climb mountains without any real effort is unbelievable!

    Great Ebike ride

Had a great cycle around Lustica peninsula on Ebikes, lovely views, easy 2.5hrs cycle on good quality, well maintained bikes. Igor picked us up and dropped us off in Budva, really enjoyed the experience and would love to do it again.

Response from the operator: Thanks guys! Anytime! Safe travels.

Be aware of last minute changes

The ride was nice. Kotor is a beautiful area with breathtaking views. Unfortunately, the operator tried to change the time on us the night before. I had to stand my ground to keep the original time. This was a nonrefundable purchase unlike most on Viator who offer cancellations up to 24 hours. The tour guide seemed to be more concerned with his own fitness and exercise. He rode his own bicycle instead of the e-bike. We had a break at one point because he needed to fix his bike and we had to wait for him. We also had to wait for him to catch up to us when we rode uphill. Overall the ride was nice, the bikes made for an enjoyable and easy ride especially when riding uphill.

Response from the operator: That morning we had a longer-standing booking for the same tour for 6 riders at 10am, and we had their more recent booking for 4 people at 9am. We contacted the client the night before to ask them to ride at 10am because we didn't have enough e-bikes for two guides to lead two separate groups. The client was adamant about the 9am time and they agreed to have guide on a "normal bike" as long as they didn't have to wait until 10am. I think they saw the e-bikes for the later group and were upset that their guide didn't get one. There was no "must" involved with the client changing the time, or risk that if they cancelled they would not get refunded.

A magic E-bike ride in stunning Kotor

We had a magic 1/2 day tour - with our fantastic guide Molly all to ourselves. We highly recommend this ride as it showed the diversity of Kotor from mountain fortress to marina, and coast. E-bikes make the ride a breeze. One of the highlights of our trip. Thanks Molly for helping make it so memorable.
