Amazing Daytrip with local guide !

We randomly walked into Edisons Office, because it was close to our apartment and we were looking for a canyon tour. He was really friendly and welcoming. We felt at home immediately. He told us all about the tour he offers. And we drank the best raki we had on our entire balkan holiday. We booked the tour for the next day. It was a really fun experience. We had like 8 stops in total including some surprises. Edison told us a lot about the country and its history. We felt like we got a deepdive into albanian culture. Our Highlight was walking through the canyon and the following traditional albanian Lunch. We highly recommend everyone who wants to get the most unique experience this tour with this amazing guide. 10/10 would do again ! Also : Edison takes a lot of good pictures , so you can just enjoy and don't have to worry about getting nice shots!

Response from the operator: Dear , Thank you so much for this amazing review! ❤️🇦🇱 It’s funny to think that you simply walked into our office looking for a canyon tour and ended up spending a whole day exploring Albania with us! 😊 We’re so happy that you felt at home from the very beginning — that is exactly the kind of connection we love to create with our guests. We’re especially glad you enjoyed all the stops and little surprises along the way, the stories about Albania and its history, the walk through Osumi Canyon, and of course the traditional Albanian lunch! And we’re very proud that our raki made it to the top of your Balkan holiday list! 🥃😄 As a local family-run business, we believe that a great tour is not only about visiting beautiful places, but also about sharing our culture, stories, food, and everyday life. And yes… Edison will definitely be happy to hear that his photography skills got a special mention! 📸😂 We’re always happy to capture those moments so our guests can simply relax and enjoy the experience. Thank you again for your trust, your great energy, and your 10/10 recommendation. It was a real pleasure having you with us! We’d love to see you again one day — there will always be another Albanian adventure waiting for you. 🇦🇱❤️ Warm regards, Qato Tours

    Wonderful

We had a great time with friends! The guide is very friendly and invested in his role! He adapted the tour according to our pace and our wishes! He even came to pick us up at the hotel. It is a family business that works seriously and offers a more authentic experience than the big companies in the area.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! ❤️ We’re very happy to hear that you had such a great time exploring Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon with us. It was a pleasure to adapt the experience to your pace and wishes and make the day enjoyable and comfortable for your group. As a family-run local business, we truly value creating authentic experiences and welcoming our guests like friends rather than simply taking them on a tour. Thank you for trusting us and for appreciating our work. We hope to see you again in Albania! 🇦🇱💙 Warm regards, Qato Tours

The best guide in Berat – 100% recommended!

We are Mónica and Albert from Barcelona, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Edison. He was super punctual, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable – a true historian who loves Albania and his beloved Berat with all his heart. We booked a 7-hour tour to the Osumi Canyon and the stunning Bogove Waterfall. Even though the water was completely frozen, it was an absolute blast! Edison made the experience magical, taking amazing photos and sharing fascinating stories about the canyon and Albanian history. If you want an authentic, non-touristy experience with a guide who truly cares about his country and his guests, Edison is your guy. Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, or small and big groups! Thanks for everything, Edison! We carry you in our hearts from Barcelona.

Response from the operator: Dear Mónica and Albert, Thank you so much for your wonderful words! It was a real pleasure having you with me and sharing with you some of the hidden gems around Berat. I’m very happy that, even with the frozen water at Bogovë, you still had such a memorable and fun experience! Your appreciation for Albania, its history, and Berat means a lot to me. I truly enjoyed our conversations, the photos, and the time we spent together. Thank you for trusting Qato Tours and for recommending me so warmly. I hope to welcome you back to Berat one day — there are still many more hidden gems waiting for you! Warm regards, Edison & Qato Tours

    Perfect!

Her er en naturlig og flydende engelsk version: Amazing trip! Everything went so smoothly. Edison was informative, incredibly friendly, and did a great job making sure everyone in our small private group was included and looked after. The viewpoints at the pit stops along the way were absolutely stunning. There were quite a few people at the waterfall, but we had plenty of time to swim, jump into the water, and enjoy the surroundings. The canyon was our favorite stop, and we’re so glad we decided to include it in the tour. Lunch was included in the price and was really delicious. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted you enjoyed the entire experience, from the scenic viewpoints and refreshing waterfall to the breathtaking canyon and delicious lunch. It was a pleasure to host your group, and we're happy you felt well looked after. Thank you for your recommendation—we hope to welcome you back to Albania soon! ❤️

    Top guiding beyond expectation

Our guide Edison was extremely informative about the history of the valley and, for example, we learnt about a town used by the army to build armaments that was hidden from the outside world when it was a communist state. On a personal note Edison went above and beyond - I have MS and am unstable walking, especially on uneven ground and narrow paths. We experienced all these on the tour and Edison acted as my support whenever needed. Without him I would not have been able to make it to some truly spectacular sights. Thank you so much Edison. You are a star.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your heartfelt review! It was a true pleasure to share our history and beautiful landscapes with you. We're especially happy that Edison could support you throughout the tour and help you enjoy these special places safely. Your kind words mean so much to us. We hope to welcome you back to Albania again someday! ❤️

Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.

How much does Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $57 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.

Is Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hidden Gems of Albania Bogovë Waterfall and Osumi Canyon Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Berat Cooking Class- Traditional Albanian Cooking Class /By Vato. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
