Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Flight
Another amazing experience booked with Himalayan Social Journey who have great communication. Sitting in the back of the helicopter was very uncomfortable, 4 people squeezed very tightly. Virtually impossible to get any photos or video. However the flight to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) turned out to not what it was about. Being on the ground at ABC was the real experience. Plenty of time to walk and look around and enjoy 360° view of the Annapurnas/Himalayas. Absolutely awesome.
Response from the operator: Dear Julie, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at Annapurna Base Camp and were able to take in the incredible 360° views of the Himalayas, that really is the highlight of the journey. At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort you experienced during the helicopter flight. We understand how important comfort and the ability to capture photos are, and we regret that the seating arrangement made this difficult for you. Your feedback is very valuable, and we will certainly share it with our team to help improve future experiences. We truly appreciate your kind words about our communication and are grateful you chose Himalayan Social Journey. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for an even more comfortable and memorable adventure in the future. With Kind Regards, The HSJ Team

No flight.
Nothing about this booking was good. Got a message after I had already arrived at my pickup point, to arrive half an hour later. Sat at pickup point for extra thirty minutes, only to get another message that the trip had been canceled 30 minutes later because of weather. Can't beleive it went from a 30 minute delay to a cancelation. A late cancelation spoils the rest of the day, especially when your limited for time.

Incredible!
The trip and the experience were incredible to fly up the valleys and then be surrounded by snow capped mountains! Definitely a life experience! The only down side was Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor had false info and timing for the booking and they have no idea how the actual provider works, and then they were not available to help after they made the mess. We booked the flight for 9:15am well ahead of time and the night before the flight the actual provider called to say we had to be ready to go by 5:45am which we found out later was simply them trying to fill the helicopter although they used other excuses. So the bottom line it's must do experience and well work the cost, but whatever you do, don't use Tripadvisor to book it.
Response from the operator: Dear kentsj0nes, Namaste from Himalayan Social Journey!! Thank you for sharing your incredible experience of Helicopter Tour to Annapurna Base Camp. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the misinformation provided by Tripadvisor. We're delighted to know that despite the issues with Tripadvisor, the overall experience was well worth the cost. Once again, Thank you for the review and We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best Regards, Himalayan Social Journey Team

This is a bait and switch! They do not go to Annapurna base camp, but to Mardi Himal for only 20 minutes! 2 hours late!
All of the advertising is FALSE! This is a bait and switch! They do not go to Annapurna base camp, but to Mardi Himal base camp for only 20 minutes! They were 1 hour late picking us up and we waited for another hour plus, so that we missed the best weather! The only person that had a great view was the person in front. Having said that the experience at the base camp was incredibly beautiful! I would have liked to have more time there. Way over priced’
Response from the operator: Dear Lisa, Namaste and Greeting of Himalayan Social Journey!!! We appreciate you taking the time to write such a wonderful review for us! That you enjoyed your tour with us makes us glad. Your review confirms that we place a high value on your satisfaction and take great pleasure in our superior service. Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to seeing you again! With Best Regards, Himalayan Social Journey

GREAT STUFF
First time we had both ever been in a helicopter.Great stuff. Pity it didn't land at ABC as my son and i did a trek there in 2018 and saw the copters land and take off from there It was excellent anyway and would have been better if the weather hadn't obscured Fishtail from Mardi High Camp.
Response from the operator: Namaste and Greetings from Himalayan Social Journey!!! We are pleased to learn that your trip with us went smoothly. Yes, there are times when the weather makes it impossible for helicopters to fly to their destination. We hope to be able to plan more trips for you and your lovely family in the future. Can't wait to see you again! Best Regards, Himalayan Social Journey

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.
How much does Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp cost?
+
Prices start at $600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.
Is Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Helicopter Tour To Annapurna Region with landing at Base Camp start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pokhara?
+
On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pokhara?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pokhara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
