Simply amazing
My wife and I had an incredible experience seeing Maui, Moloka’i, and Lanai with our pilot, Felix. He took great care to make sure both sides were able to see the things he was pointing out. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: We are glad that you had a 5-star experience flying with Felix. Mahalo for your recommendation and for flying with us!

Surprise ruined
Upon booking this trip when we received the confirmation, it clearly stated we could not cancel or reschedule this trip for any reason and it could not be refunded as well. Our visit to Maui was for our wedding, honeymoon and this helicopter tour was a surprise for my husband’s birthday. Our last day on Maui was the day this trip was scheduled. Instead of getting a hold of us a few days prior to reschedule us, they waited until the morning of the trip to let us know we were the only two scheduled and the flight needed to have a minimum of 4. Instead of calling us, we received an email letting us know there were important details regarding our trip and we needed to call to get those details. I called, sent a message and emailed back with no response. A few hours before we needed to head to the airport I called again and finally got someone to answer. That is when we were told that there were not enough people so now our trip was not a confirmed one. We could not reschedule due to leaving the next morning and all of the other helicopter tours were fully booked on that day and there were no other openings. It was very disappointing because this was my husband’s first trip to Hawaii and it was a birthday present I had planned months ahead. You can’t tell me that they did not know the week we were on Maui that they didn’t have enough people for our chosen trip and could have contacted us sooner to reschedule for another day so we could of enjoyed the tour. Maverick Helicopter tours need to have better communication with clients especially for a trip as expensive as this one was to give their clients the opportunity to be able to reschedule and enjoy the tour which I am sure would have been an awesome experience! We were told we would receive a full refund but had to spend additional time out of our vacation time we can’t get back to get confirmation from Maverick that they canceled the trip in order to get the refund started. For these reasons above, I would not recommend booking a tour with them!!!
Response from the operator: We appreciate your honest feedback and regret to hear that your experience was unsatisfactory. As stated in our terms and conditions, a minimum number of passengers is required for us to operate. We sincerely apologize for the communication issues and will forward your feedback to our quality assurance team. Nonetheless, we hope you had a wonderful vacation in Maui.

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.
How much does Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $529 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.1 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.
Is Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 1.1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hawaiian Odyssey: Maui, Molokai & Lanai Scenic Helicopter Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Maui?
+
Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Maui?
+
April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Maui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
