We had never been to the...
We had never been to the Big Island before and we wanted to see as much of Hilo and the volcanoes as we could. Agnes organized our day perfectly. She picked us up from the ship and we headed to Banyon Drive and Liliuokalani Gardens first. We drove through Hilo and took a scenic route to Rainbow Falls. On the way, Agnes explained what we were seeing and used a guided recording as well. She was easy to talk to and answered every question that we had about the big island and life in Hawaii. At Volcanoes National Park, we saw Kilauea, the steam vents, and made a stop at Volcano House. Then it was on to the Thurston lava tubes. Agnes stayed with us the whole time and explained what we were seeing. Next on the list were the macadamia tree farms with a stop at the Mauna Loa store and a black sand beach. It was a great day and we learned so much thanks to Agnes! We can't thank her enough ❣️
