    Always worth it

There are so Lamy good things to say about this company and their tours. We have done them ALL including the pub crawl and the newest colonial tour. This was our second time at Haunted Mountain and as always, Jason nailed it. His story telling skills coupled with the real history makes for a great evening. The ONLY recommendation I have is just for the Haunted mountain tour, it would be beneficial to put on the website that it’s a strenuous walking tour. It’s definitely a challenging hike for those less fit. We look forward to seeing more tours and doing the investigations at some point. Also having the storytellers at an event. Thanks again

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for being a super-fan! I created this haunted universe over a decade ago and am always thrilled when guests join me on this dark journey! I will also take your advice into account - tacking the haunted mountain is indeed a bit strenuous, especially as we get older! I used to practically prance up the mountain and after a decade now am sometimes out of breath! I will also be sure to FWD this to Jason, a great storyteller indeed! We are very fortunate to have him as part of our team!

    Fascinating and Well Organized!

The tour is well thought of, and although I've been living in Montreal for 25 years, I discovered new corners of Mount Royal I had never seen before! It's informative, fun, respectful of Montreal's history and cultures, and our host, Jason, did a fabulous job at guiding us. I warmly recommend! I liked that they were also stating their references, including paranormal researchers - it made even more intriguing! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there's a bit of a hike (no fancy sandals).

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this thoughtful review! We aim to show Montreal in a whole new light to guests with haunted locations and hidden history and I am glad you were able to experience Mount Royal in a different way! I really appreciate your recommendation and practical suggestions. I will be sure to FWD this to Jason, a very talented guide indeed!

    Fun tour

Very fun tour. A small theatrical hike onto the mountain, perfect for Halloween. Jason was great at storytelling, keeping it creepy and light-hearted as well. Plus, you get to learn a bunch of historical facts as a bonus. Great tour and very interested in the others.

Response from the operator: What a great review for our late night Hallowe'en Tour! Thank you so much! Jason is indeed a great actor and we do combine Montreal's hidden and deranged history with the ghost stories! Glad you are interested in our other tours! We are dying to see you again!

    Fun little hike up the...

Fun little hike up the mountain that uses history and ghost stories at a few spots. Guide was entertaining despite the very small group. A little lack luster for what we were hoping for

Response from the operator: Hi Paul, Thanks for reviewing Haunted Mountain! I'm glad you found the guide to be entertaining! If you'd like to send us feedback via our email address about anything you considered "lack luster", we'd really appreciate it! As the creator of all of our tours, I always aim for the highest standards am am always welcoming of constructive criticism that can improve our haunted experiences!

    Haunted Mountain: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montreal.

How much does Haunted Mountain cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montreal usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Haunted Mountain take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montreal is not rushed.

    Is Haunted Mountain worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montreal, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Haunted Mountain?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Haunted Mountain suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Haunted Mountain?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montreal can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montreal and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Haunted Mountain start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montreal within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montreal?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montreal experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old Montreal Walking Tour | Small Group (Max 10) | by MTL Detours, The Original Montreal Mural Arts Tour by Spade & Palacio, Montreal Mile End Food Tour with Bagel, Poutine and 7 Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montreal?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montreal?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Haunted Mountain?

    +

Included: GST (Goods and Services Tax). Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
