    Its unfortunate that...

Its unfortunate that access to the Harvard campus was prohibited due to the protests, but our guide did a good job of making the tour informative, interesting and enjoyable

Hidden Gems with Something for Everyone

The Harvard Square Food Tour with Roberta was so much fun! After a visit to the Harvard Yard, we visited four very different restaurants that were truly off the beaten path. We sampled authentic Greek, Venezuelan, Italian, and Chinese delicacies. The food was delicious and we were quite full by the end of the tour. We highly recommend this tour both to locals as well as visitors to the Boston area!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Roberta loved meeting you! We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming which includes serving lots of delicious food to our esteemed guests! We hope to see you on another tour soon!

    unique Cambridge food tour

This tour had some of the most unique tasting selections of any food tour I have been on. Our guide, Chloe, was lovely, knowledgeable and fun. We had a good selection of food and learned some things about Cambridge history.

Response from the operator: Thanks for joining our Harvard Square Chocolate Tour! We loved meeting you and hope to see you on another tour soon!

    Great Tour

Enjoyed our food tours on Saturday. Our guide, James, is a student at Harvard and he had a lot of history to share with us. The food was excellent as well. I would highly recommend this tour and James!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, we are so glad you enjoyed the tour and James loved meeting you!

Fantastic tour of Harvard Square- you truly go “off the beaten path” to discover gems down hidden alleys. Knowledgeable tour guide - great way to experience the neighborhood. I plan to do every tour this company offers!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review, and we certainly hope to meet you again on future tours! We have 12 now and counting.... lots of hard work because we're passionate about local small businesses and showing off some interesting neighborhoods :)

Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cambridge.

How much does Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cambridge usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cambridge is not rushed.

Is Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 44 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cambridge, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cambridge can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cambridge and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Harvard Square Cambridge Food & Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cambridge within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cambridge?

    +

Cambridge runs student-led Harvard and MIT campus tours, revolutionary history walks, Charles River cruises and food tours through Harvard Square and Central Square. On Outty we rank every Cambridge experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Harvard University Campus Guided Walking Tour, Boston to New Hampshire Fall Foliage White Mountains Day Trip, Illustrious Schools: Group Tour of MIT And Harvard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cambridge?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cambridge?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
