    About this experience

Nestled in a serene French villa, this hidden gem is more than a cooking class — it’s a cultural immersion where food, stories, and connection come together. A pleasant confirmation

I returned within a short time I always think a great choice for quality and value for money, a negative note do not accept C.C. and ATM only cash payment reason why it is never crowded compared to the competition.

    Amazing Class!!

My partner and I picked this tour during our recent trip to Hanoi. Unfortunately due to the current Covid 19 outbreak we weren't able to do the market tour but we didn't feel like we missed out at all! We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the villa which was super clean and professional. There were 8 people in the class including us. Mike was a fantastic chef and fantastic teacher. We got to do so much hands on stuff during it and the assistants were there to clean up and finish tasks so we could get on with eating and enjoying it. We made banana flower salad, spring rolls, bun cha soup and egg coffee. We don't have any dietary needs but we had 2 vegans and someone who couldn't eat pork or beef and Mike was really accommodating to those needs on the spot. The place was very clean and the very hygienic. Ingredients were all very fresh and the meals were delicious. They also send you the recipes afterwards which is amazing! We would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to do one. My partner also wanted to mention that it's an open fridge for the class with beer, coke, sprite and water, he thoroughly enjoyed the beers during the class and we were both in epic food comas by the end of it all!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed review of your experience! We're delighted to hear you and your partner enjoyed the class, even without the market tour. Mike and our team always strive to make the class hands-on, fun, and accommodating for everyone — so it's wonderful to know you felt that! We’re also glad the recipes, fresh ingredients, and open fridge added to the experience (cheers to the beers!). Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for a market tour next time. Safe travels and happy cooking!

    Cooking class

The whole experience was amazing. First we went to the local market and bought food and later cooked everything and ate. Our chef Kevin was the best!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed exploring the market and cooking with Chef Kevin — he’ll be so happy to hear this. Hope to see you again for another delicious experience!

Cannot ask for more! Brilliant cooking class!

I and my family were recommended by a friend to take a cooking class with May (it means Cloud in Vietnamese) And i’m so glad that I did it. The local market tour was very eye opening. The cooking class was interactive and informative. And the foods tasted amazing. The classes and spaces are beautifully designed and the kids can play around the nice yard with lots of trees - this is a beautiful house. Thank you for the recipe book, it is very helpful for me to recall all the things I learned. This is the best of the best experience we have ever had in Vietnam. The big shout out to all the team members of May. You are just amazing. Thanks a billion!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review! We're overjoyed to know you and your family had such a memorable time with May and our team. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the market tour, cooking experience, and our garden space — we love seeing kids having fun here too! We’ll be sure to share your kind words with May and everyone at the house. Your appreciation truly means the world to us — thanks a billion in return!

    The most beautiful experience

So amazing!!! Our host helped us to choose meat, vegetable and some fruits. The market was busy and bustle but interesting to explore. My kids were impressed with the fresh fishes and crabs. And the food we cooked, wow, were better than any restaurants. Must try.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you and your kids enjoyed exploring the local market and cooking together — those fresh crabs and fish are always fun to see! It’s the best compliment to know the dishes you made tasted even better than in restaurants. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome your family back for another cooking adventure soon!

Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi Cooking Class in Hidden Villa with Free Pick-Up start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
