Beautiful Romania
I absolutely loved this tour. Romania is a beautiful country. Our tour guide Claudia was absolutely amazing! She brought us to all the best coffee shops, she knows her history and is just fabulous. Our driver Sile was also amazing. He made sure we got the best parking spots and made sure we saw the beauty of Romania safely. Claudia and Sile are a fabulous team and deserve a raise! Romania is a beautiful country I highly recommend this tour!!!!

It’s an experience that transports you into another time.
Visiting Romania during Halloween was truly an amazing experience beyond words. Dani did and incredible job painting a full picture of Romanian culture and rich history. Mr. Stephen took great care and getting us to our destinations. The landscape across the country was just moving to see. Our accommodations were lovely and the food was scrumptious! The party was so much fun. This will always be my favorite trip! I would do it all over again.

Claudia our guide was phenomenal. She was a wealth of information and little known facts. Every place we went she seemed to have friends and got us the best experiences possible. She accommodated requests, even when they deviated from the itinerary and ensured everyone got the most out of their trip. She also made sure that the vegans and vegetarians in our group always had good options and were cared for. Our driver, Sile was wonderful and never hesitated to take detours so we could see even more, and got us closer to a lot of attractions than we might have otherwise. I was a pleasure to spend time with Claudia and Sile, and Rolandia Tours should be honored to have such knowledgeable and passionate employees.

Beautiful country + awesome tour guide = amazing visit
We absolutely loved this tour. It was my brother’s and my first guided group experience, and this has left us only wanting for more. Claudia, our tour guide, was the absolute best. She was incredibly knowledgeable, energetic, and charming. Her love of Romania was infectious and it was clear that her priority was making sure we had the best time. She went above and beyond at supporting us and any requests. Sile, our driver, was equally amazing, and made sure we were well taken care of on the road. When plans changed due to group interest or at Claudia’s suggestion, he was enthusiastic about exploring it as well. The two of them together have set the standards high for us for any future tours. As far as Rolandia’s agenda for the tour, it was definitely ambitious (maybe a little too much on some days). You will see and learn so much! There was definitely a lot of driving on some days, but the shuttle was comfortable and the sights were worth it. Be prepared for 1-3 hours often for travel times. I would recommend having snacks and being flexible with meal times depending on how the day goes. The main event, the Halloween party and night tour of Bran Castle, was so cool, but you’ll find that Bran Castle is nothing compared to the other stops on your trip (which is a good thing! You’ll realize so much of Romania is amazing). My major critique is that I believe the low activity rating is a little inaccurate. There is a lot of walking (which maybe should be expected with the city tours), but more importantly a lot of stairs; one stop had a trek of 1480 steps, which could be skipped out on, but it did take the group a good 2 hours to come back and down. If you struggle with stairs, there are parts you may have to miss. In our group’s case, Claudia did her best to give other options and to keep us posted about when some parts may be difficult. But I think Rolandia could have prepared us more for the expected travel times and activity requirements. Overall, I highly recommend this tour, especially if you can be lucky enough to be with Claudia and Sile. I had a one in a lifetime Halloween experience, but more importantly a much better appreciation for Romania as a country. I have so many beautiful memories.
