    Awesome surf class in heaven

On our last day in Costa Rica, we decided to take another surf class for our kids (9 and 12 yr old) and we were not disappointed! We met with our instructor Filipo in Montezuma and after the most scenic walk along the Sueño Verde trail that crosses 3 magnificent beaches we got to Playa Grande (25’ walk). Our kids loved riding the waves and we were literally alone on this 2-mile stretch of white sand beach. This was a unique experience. I highly recommend.

    Private surf lessons in montezuma

An absolute must of you are in the montezuma area. We were four people, all complete beginners, with 2 bilingual instructors. We had the whole beach to ourselves so didn't have to worry about crashing into other more experienced surfers which really made things a lot easier than if we had been in crowded santa Teresa, and within no time at all all of us were popping up and riding the waves in almost every time. Highly highly recommended for families or groups of friends and we'll definitely be going again. 5 stars

Guillermo is an amazing instructor and I would highly recommend Nicoya Surf!

Guillermo is an amazing instructor and I would highly recommend Nicoya Surf! Guillermo was patient in his instruction, made all students feel included, and, most importantly, insured everyone was safe. Also, the location was beyond utterly breathtaking, our group literally had one of the most beautiful beaches all to ourselves!

    A memorable day

Had a great time! It was my partners and my first time on a surfboard, and Guillermo was careful to walk us through all the important safety notes and teach us the foundations. We were thrilled to actually manage to ride some waves! The beach was beautiful as well, and a place we would have not gone to or known about otherwise, and we even caught sight of a group on monkeys hanging by our spot trying to get our fruit. Very memorable and had a blast.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review! It was a pleasure to take you out to surf and show you the place! You guys did a great job on your first session! Pura vida!

An amazing experience with only my second time on a surf board. Safe, friendly and experienced. I will be coming back for more lessons in the future! Philpe was so patient and kind. Thank you again! Never to be forgotten!
