Unsafe
UNSAFE. The crash at the start may or may not have been their fault, kerbing the van at speed 10 mins later was. Consistently drove well above speed limit (a screen shot of our Live 360 documents this). Running out of diesel 45 mins from our hotel (on dark single carriageway with cars speeding past) was scary for the kids and with their RAC telling them over an hour until pick up (and down to just one tour leader after the husband left us to to get diesel) we paid for an Uber home.
Response from the operator: Gday Glynis, Thanks for your comments here. We have noted your points. The new driver did inform us, of the issues sadly, but when he asked to go to the gas station there was an issue from your end to rush back to hotel, and sadly the fuel station he did go was closed earlier. But we have taken this seriously and reprimanded the driver and kept him off tours. Do apologise for the inconvenience. Hope you have a great day ahead

Gorgeous
The information provided on other sites on the way out. Much better than other tour with another company we did the previous day
Response from the operator: Gday Joanne -Thanks a lot for your great comments, highly appreciated . We are happy to note that you had a great time on our tour and enjoyed yourselves. Enjoy your day

Fascinating formations
The tour guide was great. I felt the mini bus was too small for the number of passengers, particularly as one of the seat belts was inoperable. It is a long trip and there are no rest stops on the return journey. Suggest the company considers providing a light refreshment at the Pinnacles before embarking on the return journey.
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for your feedback -Much appreciated. Reason we have a small vehicle with reclying seats & airconditioning etc is so clients can go through the full Desert and view different formations of the Pinnacles. If you go in larger vehicle, which we have a fleet of, you have to walk to lookout point and miss out other areas which are most fascinating also.Larger vehicles are not allowed in Nambung desert where the Pinnacles are..Will certainly take up your idea of light refreshments, great point, thanks for your suggestion.Have a great day

Pinnacle sunset tour
Tour was very well organised. We were the only two people on the tour (I was suprized that they ran it for just two people) and were picked up at the right time. Tour driver / guide was very informative. It was interesting to see the pinnacles and how they changed colour in the sunset.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon, Thank you for choosing us for your tour, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed our tour

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Perth.
How much does Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Perth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Perth is not rushed.
Is Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Perth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Perth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Perth and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Pinnacles Sunset Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Perth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Perth?
+
On Outty we rank every Perth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Optus Stadium Tour, Pinnacles Desert Sunset Dinner and Stargazing Tour, VIP Swan Valley Wine Tour - Premium Small Group Wine & Gourmet Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Perth?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Perth?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
