Fantastic morning in the garden
Great guide,Noom, who was fluent in English and spoke without an accent. He was also very knowledgeable about everything from flowers and trees, to temple history, and Buddhism. Very congienial and interested in learning about us too in conversation. Nice car for the drive. The private tour was great allowing us to go at our own pace. We arrived in the morning and had the gardens almost to ourselves. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour and guide.

Educational and Beautiful Experience.
Had a wonderful experience. Gobi was very informal about Thai Traditions, History and Culture. He was happy to answer any questions we had about Chiang Mai and Thailand. His English is very good and was easy to understand for us. Having a personal guide was great and would love to have another adventure with Gobi.

Perfect Half Day With Young Family
An amazing and comfortable experience well suited for a young family. With limited time in Chiang Mai, this tour gave us a taste of something unique to the city whilst being sensitive to the needs 2 children under 5. You are transported in comfort in a modern air-conditioned vehicle with a very attentive driver who offered water, cool towels and help with our pram. The tour itself has limited walking at the temple and garden with much of the garden seen by golf cart. The tour was made more enjoyable by our knowledgeable tour guide Gobi, who shared with us useful insights about Thailand, Buddhism and the Royal Family, whilst adopting the role of uncle to our kids during the day with cheerful jokes and caring gestures. We’d highly recommend this tour and AP Good Travel for the well organised, comfortable and insightful tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure taking care of you. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Wilawan Nerawong

Wonderful, but heavily overpriced!
While the places are wonderful and guide was lovely, this tour is almost within or very close to Chiang Mai City and heavily overpriced for a short half day tour.

A perfect trip to choose while in Chiangmai
Royal Park Rajapruek is a beautiful park full with all kinds of flowers. A worth to visit. The Phra That Doi Kam Temple has nice beautiful temples with golden shinning tomb where visitors come to offer their prayers. Gobi our tour guide is knowlegeable in the back ground of every places that we went and a funny guy too who’d like to crack jokes which brought laughter during our journey. The driver, Mr Bu complement with Gobi that made our trip a well deserving 5🌟

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $81 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour)?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Phra That Doi Kham Temple and Royal Park Rajapruek (Private Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
