Pros: Fun delicious & step by step Cons: no market shopping/digital cookbook

This cooking class was allot of fun! The instructor took allot of photos of us cooking and sent them to us within an hour. The driver who picked us up was great and they provided a cab ride back all included. We did not go to a market as described to shop for ingredients, however, and the cookbook was not preprinted as advertised but a download for us to print. Very relaxed and easy going. Recommended

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you had a fun and relaxed cooking class and appreciated the instructor’s photos and the convenient transport. Your feedback is very helpful and will be taken into consideration to improve the experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable experience. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Keep looking

The itinerary is the same as all the others. Unfortunately, the teacher excluded that part. where we were to shop for ingredients in the market (the draw for me). She didn't show up. We saw other groups in the market with their teacher. The driver dropped us off at a pathetic little market for precisely 5 minutes. Needless to say, we were pissed. The school was charming, but I can't help but thinking that we could have done much better elsewere.

Response from the operator: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely regret that the market visit, which was an important part of your experience, was not conducted as expected. We understand how disappointing it must have been, especially when seeing other groups enjoying that part of the itinerary. We appreciate your kind words about the cooking school itself, but we also acknowledge that missing a key highlight of the tour affected your overall experience. We will be addressing this with our team to ensure better consistency in our offerings. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If there’s anything we can do to assist further, please feel free to reach out. Best regards, Oh-Hoo Travel

Chef Chang is the Best

Would have given 5 stars but we never received email with the recipes. Maybe he could not read writing. Please send him our email with request for recipes. Apple (Mr. Chang) is an excellent teacher and provides individual instructions dish by dish. We each got to chose four dishes to make and eat. Each of the four categories had four dishes to chose from.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the oversight regarding the email with recipes, and we're committed to addressing this matter promptly. Please know that your satisfaction is paramount to us. We're elated to hear about your wonderful experience with Apple (Mr. Chang). His expertise and dedication to providing tailored guidance is something we hold in high regard. It's delightful to know you enjoyed the diverse dish selection and the personalized touch to your culinary journey. Your insights help us continually refine and enhance our offerings. Thank you for choosing Oh-Hoo, and we hope to have another opportunity to serve you soon. Best regards, Oh-Hoo Team

How long does Half-Day Thai Cooking Class and Market Tour From Chiang Mai take?

+

Is Half-Day Thai Cooking Class and Market Tour From Chiang Mai worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Half-Day Thai Cooking Class and Market Tour From Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Thai Cooking Class and Market Tour From Chiang Mai?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Thai Cooking Class and Market Tour From Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
