Gateway Of India
The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th century in Mumbai, India. The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King-Emperor George V and Queen-Empress Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911. Built in Indo-Saracenic style, the foundation stone for the Gateway of India was laid on 31 March 1911. The structure is an arch made of basalt, 26 metres (85 feet) high. The final design of George Wittet was sanctioned in 1914 and the construction of the monument was completed in 1924. The Gateway was later used as a symbolic ceremonial entrance to India for Viceroys and the new Governors of Bombay. It served to allow entry and access to India.

Awesome Day with Linda Tours
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Shruti and AJ during my time in Mumbai. From the moment they picked me up from my hotel, everything was seamless, well-organised, and incredibly enjoyable. They arrived on time, were friendly and welcoming, and made the entire day feel relaxed and stress-free. They took me to some of Mumbai’s most interesting and iconic attractions, and what really stood out was how knowledgeable they were about every place we visited. They shared fascinating information about Mumbai’s history, culture, people and landmarks, which made the experience so much more meaningful than simply sightseeing. Shruti was absolutely amazing — warm, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about making sure I had a memorable experience. AJ was equally fantastic, and together they made the tour one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Mumbai. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and came away with a much deeper appreciation of this incredible city. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Mumbai. Fantastic Mumbai City Tour with Linda Tours
I had a fantastic half-day Mumbai city tour with Linda Tours and highly recommend guide Aziz and driver Niraj. Aziz was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing Mumbai’s history, culture, and daily life. He did an excellent job explaining the contrasts that make Mumbai so fascinating, from colonial landmarks and local markets to the city’s incredible diversity and rapid development. We visited highlights including Dhobi Ghat, Haji Ali, Mani Bhavan (Gandhi’s home), and saw everything from the famous Victoria Terminus to the incredible skyline and local neighborhoods. Aziz shared so much interesting context about Mumbai’s religions, transportation system, food culture, and history, while also making the tour feel very personal and easygoing. Niraj was an excellent driver who navigated Mumbai traffic calmly and safely, which definitely added to the experience. As a solo female traveler, I also felt very comfortable throughout the day. The tour was informative, well-paced, and gave me a much deeper appreciation for Mumbai in just a few hours. I would absolutely recommend Linda Tours, especially Aziz and Niraj, to anyone visiting the city for the first time.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback about the Half-Day Mumbai City Tour. We are happy to hear Aziz shared great knowledge about Mumbai’s history, culture, and daily life, making your experience informative and comfortable. We also appreciate your kind words for Niraj’s safe driving. Your recommendation means a lot to us. Thank you for choosing Linda Tours Mumbai.

Wonderful Half-Day Tour in Mumbai with Linda Tours
My husband and I booked a half-day tour in Mumbai with Linda Tours, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The tour was very well put together and offered a great mix of sights and impressions of the city. Our guide, Abhijeet, made a real difference — he was easygoing, talkative, and genuinely funny, bringing so much energy, charm, and lightness to the entire experience. It never felt like a standard tour, but rather like discovering Mumbai with a knowledgeable and entertaining companion. A special mention also goes to our driver, Niraj, who was extremely pleasant and drove in a very calm, safe, and reassuring way — something we especially appreciated in Mumbai traffic. All in all, it was a beautiful day and one of the highlights of our stay. We can highly recommend Linda Tours!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! 😊 We’re delighted you had such a memorable experience and enjoyed the tour with Abhijeet and Niraj. It truly means a lot to be a highlight of your Mumbai visit—thank you for recommending Linda Tours! 🌆✨

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $34 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 194 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour?
+
Around 68 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Mumbai City Private Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
