    Dolphin watching

We had a great time and saw several dolphins and calves. It was a great tour and Fiona was terrific. The weather was terrific and hotel pick up was easy for us

Response from the operator: Gday Neil, Thanks you for your comments, much appreciated. Great to know that you had a good time on our tour. Enjoy your day

    Dolphin sighting yay

We had a nice time on this tour. Were the only two on the bus, which impressed us as other tours cancelled if less than six people. But once we got to Mandurah more people were there to board the cruise. Beautiful weather ensured a great cruise but we only sighted one dolphin playing in the canals, it was still good. Gorgeous houses along the way too

Response from the operator: Hello Franco - Thanks a lot for your time to review the tour and we appreciate your time. Good to know you had a good time on the tour. Sadly you could only see one Dolphin, normally there are lots of them, but being in the wild and their natural habitat, we sadly cannot guarantee numbers. Good you liked the houses etc. Thanks and do contact us for any assistance in future

Don’t be fooled by the ‘half day’ wording.

The cruise is not half a day but 1 hour. Not sure where the half day comes from? Our cruise was supposed to be from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, as it says on the website. If pick up from Perth is included in the timing this obviously still doesn’t work out according to the times. Very misleading as it is only a 1 hour cruise... we got on the boat at 1:00 and got off at 2:00. Had to explain to my very disappointed child that it was time to go. We were looking forward to the ‘half day’ searching and looking at the dolphins but I guess the 1 hour will have to do. Luckily we did see some dolphins but couldn’t wait around to look at them long enough as the time was up and we had to head back. Left feeling cheated as the information provided was cleverly misleading. 😕

Response from the operator: Thanks for your response here. Do not know where you get the idea that the cruise is a 5 hour cruise,as since 1998 we have been operating, we have never advertised it to be such .The tour times are clearly mentioned in website & brochure. The Dolphins are wild mamals and we have to go to them to view them, sadly they do not come to us. As you would have noticed the drive itself each way to the venue is over an hour, then you freshen up and board cruise boat etc . So sorry you had a wrong impresion of the 5 hour cruise. Words of tour are clear - Travel to mandurah ............Sadly we cannot do anything more to alley your misconception

Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Perth.

How much does Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $139 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Perth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Perth is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Perth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Perth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Perth and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Mandurah Canals & Dolphin Watch Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Perth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Perth?

    +

On Outty we rank every Perth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Optus Stadium Tour, Discover Perth Walking Tour: History, Art, Local Insights + More!, Pinnacles Desert Sunset Dinner and Stargazing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Perth?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Perth?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
