Chiang Mai Cooking Class

This is such a great experience!!! The chef takes you to a market to get fresh ingredients. You make many different dishes of your choice. All of the food is fresh and tasty. You get to also make a fire in the pan. The chef then drops you off back to your hotel. He is very knowledgeable and makes the whole experience so fun. Also delicious food and mango sticky rice.

Response from the operator: Dear Sim, Thank you for your wonderful review of our Chiang Mai Cooking Class! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience, from selecting fresh ingredients at the market to cooking delicious dishes, including mango sticky rice. Our chefs take pride in making the class both fun and informative, and it's great to know you had such a memorable time. A great experience on learning Thai food- a must do

We arranged an afternoon cooking class and had more than we expected. The Chef met us at a local marked and gave us an insight into the food and ingredients we were using. The cooking school was on a small holding and the Chef showed us around and then onto the cooking. We made 6 dishes which we then enjoyed and each meal was lovely. The chef ensured that all the dishes were chosen individually and catered for taste etc. we had a great time

Response from the operator: Dear JTMGCM, Thank you for sharing your delightful experience at our Chiang Mai Cooking Class! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the market tour and the personalized approach to the dishes. It's wonderful that you had a great time making and tasting your creations. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for more culinary adventures in the future! Best regards, Trippest Customer Service Team

Great day out

Kade was a fabulous teacher She made everything sound simple and the organisation of equipment and ingredients was first class . She provided very clear explanations of the processes and instructions to make all the dishes and she delivered it in a fun friendly manner Not intimidating at all for a solo participant and everyone had their own workstation . Great to meet new people and to share lunch with them . Thank you Kade and to everyone in the background for your preparation and cleaning Would highly recommend

Response from the operator: Dear Teresa, Thank you for your fantastic review of our Chiang Mai Cooking Class! We're delighted to hear that Kade made the experience enjoyable and accessible for everyone. It's great to know you appreciated the organization and the opportunity to connect with fellow participants. Your recommendation means a lot to us! We look forward to welcoming you back for more culinary fun in the future. Best regards, Trippest Customer Service Team

Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods cost?

+

Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Chiang Mai Cooking Class: Make Your Own Thai Foods start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
