An unforgettable Chiang Mai experience with an incredible guide
We had an absolutely amazing experience with AP Good at Travel, and our guide Noom truly made it unforgettable. He was the perfect guide - incredibly knowledgeable, super interesting, and deeply familiar with local culture, history, and hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. Noom took tons of great photos of us, handled all the logistics effortlessly, paid for site visits along the way, and always knew exactly where to go and what to do next. Everything felt seamless, relaxed, and personal rather than rushed or touristy. Beyond the planning, what really stood out was how much he cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. Thoughtful, professional, and genuinely passionate about Chiang Mai. If you’re considering a tour here, don’t hesitate - ask for Noom. This was a true 5-star experience from start to finish. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent half-day trip
We had booked a half-day tour and were pleasantly surprised at how good the guide Gubi was, and at least how much we reached. We were at the local Chinese market, visited Tae Pae street, two beautiful temples, so the preparations for the Loy Krathong festival, where we participated in the production of candles and were filmed by the local TV station. In addition, we gained a lot of knowledge about Buddhism and talked to a young monk who also studied linguistics.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure taking care of you. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Wilawan Nerawong

Fantastic Informative Tour
This week my wife and I went on the Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural tour by private car. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Gobi as our tour guide. I have to say this was one of the best tours we have ever been on and was made even better by having Mr Gobi as our guide. The temples we were taken to were amazing and Mr Gobi was a wealth of knowledge on the history of not only the temples but the city and countries past. We found Mr Gobi to be easy going and friendly with a great sense of humour which kept us entertained. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. We enjoyed his knowledge and company so much that we requested he take us on the next 2 tours we had booked. I highly recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: Dear Scott, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure taking care of you. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Wilawan Nerawong

Excellent Private Tour through Chiang Mai
My parents & I had a fabulous private tour with Noom through Chiang Mai. Recommended by our hotel concierge, the tour was informative and local. Noom spoke excellent English and was able to tailor the tour to what we wanted to see. We loved that we took 3 different modes of transportation within Chiang Mai! Would highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Dear Amy, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure taking care of you. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Wilawan Nerawong

Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Chiang Mai City and Cultural by TukTuk, Samlor & Red car (Private Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
