Ushuaia gets a ten!
We stayed 4 days in Ushuaia. We did the off-road tour, navigation in the Beagle Channel, national park with the train tour, and the Cerro Martial tour. We loved everything, we stayed in Loica's apartment. Highly recommend!!
Mara

Delight of adventure
Wonderful adventure to know the lakes, visit the breeding of dogs used for transportation in the snow and to have wine with cheese and bread on the edge of the lake, after a trip dribling atollers. Our driver-guide was show!
An outing in 4x4 but very "nature" through the surrounding mountain. Change of scenery assured!
The group tour ended up in a private excursion because we were the only ones who booked that schedule. Thank you to the agency for maintaining our visit. Diego, our guide was perfect, gave us a lot of explanations about the area, history, climate, life in general in Ushuaia, all in perfect English for us. He also answered all our questions with kindness. He's really been at our service. And even when the SUV went flat, he handled the situation with great calm and professionalism. A big thank you to Diego. The 4x4 tour was simply magnificent: the scenery, the Garibaldi Passage, the hidden lake, Lake Fagnano, the beaver dams (missing beavers, damage) and the snack at Lake Fagnano. A real change of scenery in nature. A half day outing to recommend.
Response from the operator: Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire, John !

How long does Half-Day 4x4 Tour to the Great Lakes take?

+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ushuaia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day 4x4 Tour to the Great Lakes?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half-Day 4x4 Tour to the Great Lakes suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half-Day 4x4 Tour to the Great Lakes?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ushuaia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ushuaia and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Ushuaia?
+
On Outty we rank every Ushuaia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vinciguerra Glacier Trekking and Premium Floe Lagoon, King Crab Route 4WD Off Road with lunch in Puerto Almanza, Tierra del Fuego National Park – Small Groups. Optional Train. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ushuaia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ushuaia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
