Unforgettable and amazing!
Lily and Alex were amazing! They were funny, knowledge of the local wild life, and patient with everyone to get us on the same page. Made it the best kayaking experience even with the heavy winds. 10 out of 10! Don't miss out!

Incredible wildlife experience with Xander!
This was definitely one of the best experiences of our entire Alaskan cruise trip! We booked our AMG excursion with the hopes of seeing bears and bald eagles, and Xander, our tour guide who is just as knowledgeable as any Alaskan naturalist, made sure we checked our boxes and then some! We got to see Lola and her cubs, a couple of beautiful bald eagles flying and perched overhead, and the salmon run. Xander also dropped knowledge on the little town of Haines, the surrounding mountains, Chilkoot Lake (which is a gorgeously serene spot), and even the different vegetation surrounding us. He explained the "salmon forest" to us and how everything is tied to the salmon and their arduous trek back to their spawning grounds. It was a truly worthwhile experience! Book AMG's wildlife tour, and find out if Xander can be your guide! You won't regret it!

Very disappointing excursion
I had high hopes for this wildlife and bear viewing excursion, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The guides clearly lacked any real knowledge about wildlife, and worse, they didn’t seem to have a plan for where or how to find animals. The entire experience felt unorganized—they just drove around and randomly stopped along the road, hoping something would appear. At one point, a guest on the tour spotted a mountain goat, and one of the guides actually said they had never seen one before. That’s not exactly confidence-inspiring on a trip that's marketed as a wildlife excursion. It honestly felt like the guides were just as clueless as the rest of us. For the price we paid, this was a huge disappointment. There was no educational value, no effort to track wildlife, and very little interaction or insight from the guides. This should be rebranded as a scenic drive at best, because that’s all it really was. I would not recommend this tour to anyone truly interested in wildlife viewing. Save your money and look for a company that actually delivers on what they advertise.
