I booked with VIATOR who handed over our tour to KRAKOW DIRECT. We paid for pickup at Hotel at 0830…. It received an email night before saying it had to be 0630!! This meant no breakfast or coffee, and not pleased about this. Then, we get to Schindler’s Enamel Factory and we waited THREE HOURS in line with our guide to buy entrance tickets! Our tour was not guided…. we walked it on our own. Plus, there was no drop off after tour. We UBERED back to our hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. VERY EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH LACK OF SERVICE.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback, We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced. We understand that having the pick-up time changed from 08:30 to 06:30 at short notice was frustrating, particularly as it affected your plans for breakfast and coffee. We also apologise for the lengthy wait at Schindler’s Factory and understand how disappointing it must have been to spend so much time waiting for entrance tickets and then visit the museum without a guided tour. We’re sorry as well that the drop-off arrangements did not meet your expectations. We take your comments regarding the organization and communication seriously, as your feedback helps us continue improving our services and the experience we provide to our guests. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.

Recommend both but not as one trip.

Salt mine trip amazing tour. The change from mine to Schlinders Factory however was a shambles, mainly due to the museum changing it's ticket policy. Lot of time wasted getting into the museum. Hopefully this will change otherwise suggest tourists get there own museum tickets as it is self guided anyway.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that you had an amazing experience at the Salt Mine and that you enjoyed the tour. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the transition to Schindler’s Factory. We understand your frustration and apologise for the inconvenience caused by the changes to the museum’s ticket policy and the additional waiting time. We are continuously working to adapt to these changes and improve the organisation of this part of the experience. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us continue improving our services and providing the best possible experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future, and if you ever need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    Important to know

Important that people will know what they pay for. It is a lot of money for this day and they need to know who just sold. Mine is basically a sculpture museum. Impressive but not much formation and things like this. The Schindler factory it’s even a bigger disappointment since there is one room for Sheila‘s office in a movie they talk about him and all the rest is pulling crackle underwater. It’s interesting but need to be clearly understood that you don’t go to see a museum, but you’re going to see one room in a movie about him

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding the expectations for the Salt Mine and Schindler’s Factory visits. We understand that having clear information about what is included in the tour is very important, especially for a full-day experience. The Salt Mine is a unique historical site with impressive underground chambers, sculptures, and displays created from salt, while Schindler’s Factory is a museum focused on the wider history of Krakow during World War II, rather than solely on Oskar Schindler himself. We are sorry to hear that these visits did not fully meet your expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we will take it into consideration when improving the information provided to our guests so they can have a better understanding of what to expect before booking. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us continue improving our services and providing the best possible experience. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future, and if you ever need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Not what I expected but not all bad - a tale of two halves!

Great trip to the Salt mines, transport was comfortable and guide was very welcoming. Great tour guide in the mines, well worth it. Unfortunately when we arrived at Schindlers Factory, we had to wait outside for 10-15 mins whilst the driver went inside to buy our tickets. I had assumed that when I made the booking, the tickets were bought. I also thought that the tour of the factory was a guided tour, but it was not, we were advised to take a picture of the map of the exhibition and pointed in the right direction. The Schindlers factory tour was more about the Nazi's in Krakow during the war rather than about Oskar Schindler or his factory. I would suggest bringing something to eat as it is straight from one tour to another.

Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options cost?

    +

Prices start at $102 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 68 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options?

    +

Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided tour to Salt Mine & Schindler Factory with Pick-Up Options start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
