    Cancelled Tour

The tour was cancelled by the guide due to lower attendance than expected. We received a 30% refund, but that was not the outcome we were hoping for.

Response from the operator: Dear customer, Thank you for your message. We are very sorry that your tour did not go ahead as expected. We would like to clarify that your booking and payment were managed through Viator. For this reason, any refund request or claim must be handled directly with Viator Customer Support, as we do not receive, manage, or have access to modify payments made through their platform. We fully understand your disappointment, but the refund process is outside our control. For this reason, we kindly ask you to consider reviewing or removing your negative review, as it affects our business for an issue related to Viator’s payment and refund process rather than a payment handled by us. Thank you for your understanding.

    Highly disappointed

I booked this experience almost a month in advance and it was confirmed by the tour company in early December. Going to visit the Alhambra was supposed to be one of the highlights of my trip. I have been looking forward to this moment. We arrived to the meeting point half an hour before the tour scheduled time. No tour guide showed up! We asked everyone around if they knew the tour company and nobody knew them. We kept waiting for one more hour and nothing. We asked in the cafeteria if by any chance our tour guide had left our tickets there and nothing! Tried contacting them by phone with no success. Then I called Trip Advisor. They also tried calling them and could not get a hold of them. They told me that they would start the process of getting my $ reimbursed. This company DID NOT send me an email or communicate in any way with me to let me know that they were not going to show up. Obviously, I can't recommend them!

    Do not miss Alhambra!

It’s a lot of walking but well worth it as Alhambra is a wonder ! Antonio was probably the best guide I have ever had. His knowledge and warmth were always apparent!

I went with my mother to see the Alhambra as we had not been there for some time, we decided to choose our experience with them and it was great, we enjoyed a lot with the guide, very funny and friendly throughout the tour, learning a lot about the Alhambra, we will repeat for sure.

Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.

How much does Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife cost?

    +

Prices start at $83 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.

Is Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Granada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Granada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Granada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
