Join us for one of the top rated kayak experiences in the USA! This 2-hour guided kayak adventure combines awesome wildlife in fertile marshes with pristine views of the Spanish Fort, ancient city architecture, the great cross and Bridge of Lions. We are the original kayak outfitter in operation for over 20 years from our permanent location in the heart of Historic Downtown at St. Augustine Municipal Marina. What better spot to experience the water in the way people did centuries ago. We have a dedicated slip at the city marina where a specialized kayak dock makes getting in and out of the kayaks the easiest part of the trip. Extremely stable tandem kayaks with rudders make steering a breeze for beginners or the more experienced paddler. When considering a kayak experience in coastal waters, choose an operator that puts the safety & experience of your family first. Best Way to tour St. Augustine

This is one of the best ways to see the city. St. Augustines salt marshes are equally impressive as it's history. Kurt was an amazing guide. Giving us historical and ecological facts. This was my third excursion with Eco Tours and I am impressed with their love of the city and it's environment.

Salt water snapshots are Tour in Saint Augustine

We had an incredible experience on this guided tour with our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Miss Natalie. She was well versed in the local ecosystem and historical facts about the landmarks. She even took the time to recommend some great eateries in the area. I booked the tour for my daughter and son-in-law, both of whom are in the military, and we were home visiting. It was the perfect opportunity for some family time and for them to enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank you, Natalie, for making our day so special. It was truly an amazing experience.

Don't miss this chance to see the beauty of St Augustine from the water!

Wonderful excursion! Our guide, Alexis, was great - very knowledgeable, willing to let us stick around to watch some dolphins rather than keep to a strict schedule, and very helpful. The tour was perfect in length and what you were able to experience along the way. We got to enjoy a beautiful morning on the water, see some wildlife, and learn about the St Augustine ecosystem. Would definitely do again!

    Dolphins galore!

Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide, Curt. Got to see lots of dolphins, turtles and birds. Just what we were looking for in this activity. We got a great view of St Augustine from the water.

Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St Augustine.

How much does Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St Augustine usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St Augustine is not rushed.

Is Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St Augustine, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St Augustine can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St Augustine and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided Salt Marsh Kayak Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St Augustine within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in St Augustine?

    +

St Augustine is walkable history: Castillo de San Marcos, Spanish quarter walking tours, trolley loops, lighthouse climbs and some of the best-attended ghost tours in the country. Guide storytelling quality is the main variable. On Outty we rank every St Augustine experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Medieval Torture Museum with Ghost Hunting and Tiny Art Gallery, St. Augustine's Wine, Cocktail and Food Experience, Dolphin and Wildlife Adventure of St. Augustine. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit St Augustine?

    +

February to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in St Augustine?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
