Running, rain, history and lots of fun
I have been to Glasgow a number of times for work but never had time to look around. I booked the running tour as a way to see lots of the city on foot and to get some exercise at the same time. Sean met me at 9 am on a damp Sunday morning and made me feel immediately at ease. He started off giving me a general overview of the city's history before heading off east towards the cathedral and necropolis. We stopped intermittently to take in various sites along the way, the numerous wall murals being a particular highlight. Sean has a skill of bringing the city and its history to life and I barely noticed the rain as we trotted along, chatting away. We looped back by jogging besides the Clyde and finished by the infamous statue of Wellington adorned by the ubiquitous traffic cones. An excellent tour and so glad I made the effort - would highly recommend

Great Experience for Joggers / Runners in Glasgow
Sean is both a great coch for the Run and the perfect guide to discover Glasgow and tell us about his city. Our group consited only of my son and me , so we had the privilege of a private tour. But I think also in slightly smaller groups (anyway the limit I think is 5 or 6 clients) everyone will have a perfect experience. For joggers and runners I think it's one of the niciest ways the learn more about the town. And the running speed was just perfect for us. And last but not least, Sean makes really great pictures during the run (if you agree) which he shares immediately after by air drop. So no hazzle to make own pictures during running.

Great way to see and learn about Glasgow.
Excellent experience combining Sean's great knowledge of the City and it's history and a wee bit of exercise. Thoughly great guy, really helpful and will run at a pace to suit you with plenty of stops and photos along the way

Excellent
Excellent tour. Would recommend. No need to be a super fast runner, the run is at a very steady pace with plenty of stops for information and photos. Highlights for me were Necropolis and Barrowlands which I wouldn’t have ventured to on my own. Great way to see the city.

Really enjoyable running tour! Neil was a great guide - very knowledgeable and set the tone (and the pace!) exactly right. A perfect introduction to the city. Thanks Neil!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Guided Running Tour of Glasgow: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Glasgow.
How much does Guided Running Tour of Glasgow cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Glasgow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Guided Running Tour of Glasgow take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Glasgow is not rushed.
Is Guided Running Tour of Glasgow worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Glasgow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Guided Running Tour of Glasgow?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Guided Running Tour of Glasgow suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Guided Running Tour of Glasgow?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Glasgow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Glasgow and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Guided Running Tour of Glasgow start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Glasgow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Glasgow?
+
On Outty we rank every Glasgow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gander Walking Tours in Glasgow, Celtic Park Tour & Dine Package, Glasgow Street Art & Murals Walking Tour with a Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Glasgow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Glasgow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
