They cancelled but did not notify us.

Be aware that the communication is not great. We paid for an Uber to get to the venue from southernmost. We sat outside waiting and finally got a hold of somebody. They informed us that they canceled it due to weather. The weather was beautiful. I sent them a picture of no clouds in the sky and a beautiful moon. They never notified us ahead of time. They could improve the communication and unfortunately I could not experience the excursion because we were leaving the next morning.

    Interesting and fun

John was an excellent guide. He was informative, funny, and made the experience more interesting. We enjoyed the mangroves, learning about the creepy crabs and the jellyfish.

    Pretty good

Pros: Guide was excellent and knowledgeable. Made sure everyone knew what to expect. Learned everything you would ever want to know about algae and mangrove trees. Cons: The boats are NOT the clear acrylic crafts in the website photos. They have a fairly small viewing area on the bottom. Don’t expect to see much in the way of aquatic life. Water is dark and murky. Saw one small jellyfish and nurse shark. The path is often very narrow, surrounded by sharp branches. Difficult to navigate in the dark. Avoid if you are claustrophobic. Minimal parking and no clear signage to follow. We were asked to arrive a half hour early. But the guide never showed. The guide we got was great, but we left 35 minutes late. So over a hour to kill in a place with no restroom, just an outhouse . Would probably not do this again on the next trip. But fun to try once as an adventure.

    Not as advertised

It was a fun time. As mentioned in other reviews, the kayaks are not "100% clear" as stated in the inclusions section and advertised in their photos. It was still enjoyable. I do wish for $95 it was longer than 90 minutes.

    Just do it :)

Gianni was a great guide, he was very knowledgeable about the different areas we kayaked through. He was on the lookout constantly for things we could possibly see. I went solo but there was a decently size group all together with other people that signed up. I was able to see a crab, a few nurse sharks, a jelly fish, and a massive tarpon. The bottom of the kayak was clear and had a light to help you see. I was able to put my phone down on the bottom of the kayak with a waterproof case and was able to catch one of the nurse sharks swimming under my kayak. Very cool experience, I highly recommend you do it. P.s. wear bug spray so you don’t go eaten alive it is at night and you do yo close to brushes and through mangroves.

Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key West.

How much does Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key West usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key West is not rushed.

Is Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 210 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key West, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon?

    +

Around 74 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key West can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key West and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided Night Kayak Adventure Tour in Luminous Lagoon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key West within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Key West?

    +

Key West is a boat town. The only living coral barrier reef in the continental US sits seven miles offshore, and reef trips, sunset catamarans and backcountry kayak runs are the core bookings, alongside Hemingway house and Duval history walks. Our ranking weighs boat capacity and reef site rotation, which separates the good operators from the party cruises. On Outty we rank every Key West experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure in Key West, Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours, Half-Day Trip from Key West with Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Key West?

    +

December to April, dry season and calm reef water. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Key West?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
