Wonderful views
The views were breathtaking. Monica was extremely knowledgeable on the area and history of Point Lobos and was very relaxed. We never felt rushed. We took all the photos we wanted and she offered to take many herself of my husband and I. We saw Sea Otters and a museum half way through our tour. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.
Response from the operator: It felt like showing my favorite place to old friends! Thank you for taking time out of the busy car week to see our magic place. Bon voyage.

A Remarkable Nature Tour!
This is an absolute must do on a trip to Carmel! Monica was the best guide ever and we had a wonderful time. The views were amazing and she brought her telescope for us to see otters and sea lions. Walking in the nature reserve was lovely and we learned a lot about the area. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!
Response from the operator: It was fun to "count the whiskers" on the sealions and see the otters up close! Thank you so much for letting me know you had a wonderful time!

Don’t hesitate to book!
My wife and I really enjoyed our guided hike through the magical Point Lobos with Monica. Not only did she guide us through some incredible scenery, we also got to learn how this land has been saved for all of us to enjoy. Thank you, Monica, for giving us insight into the rich history of Point Lobos.
Response from the operator: I am so glad you enjoyed the history of this "magic" land as well as all the wonderful creatures and great scenery! It gives us all a new meaning and appreciation. It was fun meeting you all!

Incredible Hike at Point Lobos
This hike was a wonderful experience for our family. Monica was an excellent guide whose love for Point Lobos is very apparent. She was truly amazing and made the hike so special. Also, the opportunity to park on her property was so convenient. I would absolutely recommend this experience to others.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Monterey & Carmel.
How much does Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Monterey & Carmel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Monterey & Carmel is not rushed.
Is Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 84 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Monterey & Carmel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk?
+
Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Monterey & Carmel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Monterey & Carmel and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Guided 2-Hour Point Lobos Nature Walk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Monterey & Carmel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Monterey & Carmel?
+
Monterey Bay is one of the best whale watching stretches in the world, alongside kayak tours over the kelp forest, 17-Mile Drive and Big Sur coastal runs, and Carmel wine walks. Boat size and naturalist quality decide the whale trips, and we score them accordingly. On Outty we rank every Monterey & Carmel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monterey's 17 Mile Drive Guided Electric Bike Tour, 3 hr, Whale Watching Tour From Monterey, Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Monterey & Carmel?
+
April to November for whales and calm seas. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Monterey & Carmel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
