A Fantastic Time was Had

Carlos was amazing from start to finish he was our wingman guide and by the end of our trip our friend. He took such good care of my group and made us family. We felt safe our needs anticipated and we had a fabulous time in Medellín thanks to Carlos. Book with him you won’t regret it.

Medellin was unforgettable with the Wingman!

Carlos made our trip to Medellin unforgettable!! He had tons of great knowledge of the area and made the entire journey a lot of fun, even when we were just driving between destinations. This tour feels more like you’re hanging out with a local friend than being bused around stop by stop. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially those from the United States, to book a tour with Carlos. We booked the Guatape tour with waterfalls and ended up spending another day with Carlos because we had such a great time. We ate very well, we saw amazingly beautiful sights, and we made some lasting memories on this tour. If you have any doubts about which tour to take while you’re in Medellin, this is the one!

Great guatape trip!

This trip was amazing! As someone who has gone to guatape before, it was really nice to see both the touristic spots and also spots off the beaten path. Carlos was a great guide and we enjoyed getting to know him and his love for beautiful Colombia. If you’re looking for a unique guatape experience, book this!

We spent 2 days with...

We spent 2 days with Carlos exploring Medellin and nearby towns. We enjoyed the walk thru Comuna 13, metro-cable ride, etc on the first dsy. Carlos shared a lot of stories, some related to historic events, some to everyfay life in Colombia. Each of the days we stopped at a place for lunch and tried local cuisine. Carlos was on time and we had good communication beforehand via WhatsApp. In Guatape we climbed the rock and walked thru colorful towns. Unfortunately we did not get to see the waterfalls that were listed in the tour description - i guess we ran out of time. Otherwise, it was a pleasant tour.

Great day trip to Guatape, Waterfalls!

Create guide with lots of knowledge of Colombia! In addition to taking us to Guatape, we stopped at a waterfall that is private access only with breathtaking views

Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Medellín.

How much does Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls cost?

+

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Medellín usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Medellín is not rushed.

Is Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Medellín, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medellín can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medellín and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guatape Full Day with Waterfalls start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medellín within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Medellín?

+

On Outty we rank every Medellín experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guatapé Tour: Piedra del Peñol with Boat Tour, Breakfast, Lunch, Comuna 13 Graffiti Tour with Street Food, Half Day Bike Tour in Medellin - Local snack, Coffee or Beer. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Medellín?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Medellín?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
