    Incroyable

En english Beautiful cottage nestled in the heart of the tea plantations, with a **peaceful** setting and stunning views over the hills. We spent a wonderful day here and discovered the richness of the local tea and spice plantations. The cottage is comfortable, clean, and perfect for enjoying the calm of nature. The hosts are very welcoming and know the area and its plantations very well. A place we highly recommend if you want an authentic immersion in the middle of the tea fields while truly relaxing.

    Greenwood Nature Trails

It was a wonderful experience! The trail was very peaceful and the estate is very nicely maintained. The whole tour took around one hour after which we had the opportunity to take part in a tea tasting session where we got to taste around 16 varieties of tea. We gained a lot of knowledge during our walk and the guide was kind enough to clear all our doubts regarding the cultivation and processing activities. I highly recommend taking part in this as it will definitely make your stay worthwhile!

    Superb tasting

The visit begins with a short walk during which I discovered different species of trees and spice plants, then it's time for tasting! I was able to learn how to taste tea and test its different flavors. It was perfect! I really enjoyed this activity. It should be noted that I am a great tea enthusiast.

10/10 Highly Recommend: The Ultimate Artisanal Tea Experience

I recently attended a handmade tea making class at the tea cottage resort and spa in Nawalapitiya, Sri Lanka, and it was such a delightful experience! The setting was beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, which made the whole process feel even more special. Our instructor was passionate and knowledgeable, guiding us patiently through each step. Making tea from scratch was surprisingly simple and incredibly rewarding. I loved learning about the different types of tea leaves and the right methods to brew them. It was great to sit down afterwards and enjoy the flavors we created together. Overall, I left feeling relaxed and inspired—definitely a highlight of my trip!

Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kandy.

How much does Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka cost?

    +

Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kandy usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kandy is not rushed.

Is Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kandy, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kandy can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kandy and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Greenwood Tea Plantation Tour in Nawalapitiya Sri Lanka start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kandy within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kandy?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kandy experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Kandy City Tour by Tuk Tuk, Tours and Transportation in Sri Lanka, Chauffeur guide and Tour organizer. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kandy?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kandy?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
