Fun adventures at Green Grotto Caves and Dunn’s River Falls
We chose the Green Grotto Caves and Dunn’s River Falls combo to experience two different natural wonders of Jamaica in one trip. We opted for private transportation due to an earlier start time than was otherwise available on other trips. The travel agent contacted us the night before and advised us we would get picked up later, but it worked out fine. I was concerned about the weather forecast but they reassured us not to worry and indeed, it was a beautiful trip! Our driver, Ndale, provided interesting facts during our drive and got us checked in for each of our stops. The Green Grotto Caves were nice, although we only saw a couple of bats at the very beginning (which was probably a good thing). Our tour guide explained the history of the caves and showed us some pretty cool features. Dunn’s River Falls was beautiful, although a little different than when my husband and I did it 30 years ago! We got a little confused finding the start of the Falls climb, which is now at the beach. Although you have the option of starting a little higher up if you are not feeling as adventurous. We chose not to use a guide at first, opting to set our own pace and take more pictures. However, the rocks can be very slippery and steep and we later joined a group for a safer experience and the guide was extremely kind and helpful. She made sure the group enjoyed all the falls had to offer and get fun pictures along the climb. Just be prepared to go through the local shopping village on the way out. The people are very nice but rely on tourists to make a living.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re glad you had a memorable experience exploring both the Green Grotto Caves and Dunn’s River Falls. It’s great to hear Ndale took good care of you and that everything worked out smoothly. We appreciate your tips for future travelers and hope to welcome you back to Jamaica again soon!

Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Trelawny.
How much does Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Trelawny usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer take?
+

Is Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Trelawny, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Trelawny can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Trelawny and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Green Grato Caves and Dunns River Falls with Private Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Trelawny within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Trelawny?
+
On Outty we rank every Trelawny experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Authentic Down-to-Earth Half Day Tour in Montego Bay, Negril Seven Miles Beach, Snorkeling, Boat Ride, Ricks Cafe Combo, Private Montego Bay Customized Tour with Pickup and Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Trelawny?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Trelawny?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
