    Sand Hollow sand experience

ATV newbie and older than most. Approached this with some apprehension that we couldn't physically handle this but....no problem. Paul was our guide and made safety his number one priority and then proceeded to escalate our experience as we showed the right level of competence. It took the full 4 hours and was fantastic! The equipment was great and we always felt safe with just enough risk to make it "fun". (as Paul would say). Highly Recommend. The company does list some physical limitation on the site and they should not be ignored. Well done, Paul and Errick.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review! Paul, along with the rest of our adventure guides, are well trained in how to teach people to drive with compassion and understanding. They won't take you outside your comfort zone but will make sure each person is well taken care of and give you an amazing experience.

Amazing time, amazing views, amazing staff. Cindy upgraded us a side by side which was so much fun! Paul was also an amazing guide he took so many photos for us and was so nice! It was definitely the best part of our trip.

Response from the operator: We are so lucky to have such amazing tour guides like Paul! They all have to experience to know how to safely show you an amazing day. So glad to hear you had a great adventure!

Awesome adventure in a beautiful setting

Husband and I chose the full-day ATV tour at Sand Hollow State Park and it was AMAZING. Cary and Chad were excellent guides and made sure our time with them was safe and fun. Between the beautiful scenery and the interesting stories about the area, we enjoyed every minute of this tour.

    What a thrill ride!

I mean, come on, if you're in Southern Utah, this is a must do adventure! For our wedding anniversary we celebrated booking the jeep UTV 4 hour sunset tour across the sand dunes of Utah and it was everything we imagined and more! Our tour guide Ron was the best! So knowledgeable of the area and he really made our tour enjoyable. Thank you guys!

Response from the operator: We are always so happy to help anyone celebrate special occasions! We are so lucky ot have over 17,000 acres of the most beautiful land to share with all of our guests. Riding on Sand Mountain with our very experienced adventure tour guides is the best thing to do when in Southern Utah.

Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St George.

How much does Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People cost?

    +

Prices start at $703 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St George usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St George is not rushed.

Is Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St George, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St George can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St George and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Greater Zion's 5 Hour Backcountry Adventure - 2 People start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St George within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in St George?

    +

St George sits below Zion National Park: guided Zion day tours, canyoneering and slot canyon trips, Snow Canyon jeep runs, and golf and hiking through red rock desert. On Outty we rank every St George experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Greater Zion: Sand Hollow Dunes ATV Tour, Greater Zion's 4 Hour Adventure Rally, Kayak/SUP Tour: Birds, Beavers, Turtles, maybe even Cliff Jumping. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit St George?

    +

March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in St George?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
