    Great Experience!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Grandma Junko during my cooking lesson. Everything was beautifully explained and well organised, and Grandma Junko is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed learning more about Japanese cultures around meals too. Thank you so much, I’m looking forward to recreating my miso chicken at home in England with my recipe card!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review. You were interested in everything and cooked enthusiastically and with great enjoyment. Everything was elegant and beautiful. You also taught us about the cuisine of your country, and the lesson was fun with lively conversation. Because you cooked so diligently, I am sure you will make the miso chicken deliciously at home, and your family will love it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

This was a fantastic experience! I travel to Japan once a year for business and I took a few hours to dive into learning a little about traditional Japanese cooking. I cook a lot but I picked up many new ideas and techniques! If you are in Nagoya area, it was very convenient. Highly Recommend!

Amazing food and even better teachers

I had the best time cooking with these two grandmas. They were extremely hospitable and kind. While doing the cooking class they were very open about the entire process and answered any and all questions I had. Plus the tea ceremony was amazing! Cannot stress enough how great this experience was- my top experience of Japan!

A Treat that will last a Lifetime

To experience Nagoya is to meet the people who make this place special. Grandma Junko and Chikako brings the joy of cooking through techniques she has learned throughout her life. It brought me back to the days of watching my grandma cook. This is the one “gift” you can bring back home that will last forever. She made cooking seem so simple, yet flavorful and beautiful. We can’t believe we made an entire meal (chicken wings, temusu, tamago rolls, spinach, Kamaboko artichoke) in a couple of hours. It was like, “Dining with the Chef”. To top it off, Grandma Junko showed us the techniques in a tea ceremony. I would highly recommend this activity. It’s an experience you’ll remember always. Thank you Grandma Junko and Chikako. We love Nagoya💕

Response from the operator: Thank you for your mail. We are really glad you enjoyed the lesson of Nagoya local dishes. You cooked many dishes, so I think you were busy but you worked very hard. We are happy that you enjoyed making, drinking and eating Japanese sweet. We are very glad that you love Nagoya.

    Funny cooking in Japan

We had a great time. A private lesson, just my wife and I. A hands on experience with gracious teacher. Good food and a tea ceremony, too

Response from the operator: Thank you for attending our cooking experience and we appreciate your heartwarming review. We had a great time not only cooking together but also talking with you. It was very interesting to hear your stories. Thank again. Take care.
