    Wildlife in the Tetons

Aili did an awesome job. We saw just about everything but a grizzly. She was professional and attentive to our needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

    The perfect afternoon!

Allie was incredible!!!! We learned so much about the park but about the wildlife and their habits. We were lucky enough to see moose x3, bald eagles, elk and bison! We had such a great afternoon and are so happy we did this tour. Allie showed us secret spots that we took pictures that looked like postcards. We are so happy we did this tour!

    Amazing!!

Absolutely amazing tour! We saw three bull moose, several elks, coyotes, mule deer and pronghorn. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and in constant contact with other guides sharing leads on wildlife sightings. In addition to the wildlife, the scenery and stops we made were breathtaking! 100% recommend taking the tour!

Must-Do Wildlife Experience in the Tetons

Was absolutely amazing. Hayley was our host and she blew our expectations away. Tour guides work together through message coms boards to help each other spot wildlife throughout the Tetons, and we were able to see so much because of it! Going at an early time was crucial because we got to see 3 MOOSE before they hid away for the day. Hayley was extremely knowledgeable and even allowed us to utilize her tech/tools to capture images and video to capture what we wanted. More than just the wildlife though, Hayley talked about interesting history throughout the tour and we left it feeling like we understood the Tetons better. We also saw Pronghorns, Bison, Elk, Heron, and Deer on our trip. Perhaps most importantly, Hayley advised us on where we should go if we wanted to see bears this time of year since we didn’t get to see them on this trip. Following her advice, my girlfriend and I were able to find 3 black bears on our own around Phelps Lake (bring bear spray please if you are gonna go)! Without this safari trip, we would have missed out on a LOT of the wildlife we had traveled so far to see. Must-do experience!

    +

Prices start at $159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Grand Teton Wildlife Safari in a Enclosed or Open-Air Vehicle (season dependent) take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson is not rushed.

Is Grand Teton Wildlife Safari in a Enclosed or Open-Air Vehicle (season dependent) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,310 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Jackson, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Teton Wildlife Safari in a Enclosed or Open-Air Vehicle (season dependent)?

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Grand Teton Wildlife Safari in a Enclosed or Open-Air Vehicle (season dependent) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 458 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Jackson?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jackson experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting in Jackson Hole : Family Standard Raft, Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Wildlife Adventure, Snake River Scenic Float Trip with Teton Views in Jackson Hole. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jackson?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jackson?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
