Amazing Tour & Guide
If you’re looking for the perfect guide for the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum, look no further. Our guide (Ebrahim) was beyond amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. On top of being a fantastic guide, he took the most amazing pictures and videos for us. He truly went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

First tour was so good, we booked a second and we're not disappointed.
Second review this week, because after a day at the pyramids and Egyptian Museum, we booked another day. This time Marco took us to the new Grand Egyptian museum near the pyramids then the churches and mosque in old city. As before Marco was a great guide, lots of good stories and access to unusual areas. Even though you can visit these places by yourself, it's worth every penny to go with a guide! After two days with Marco I now feel well qualified to bore my friends back home about Egyptian history and art!

Amazing Experience!
Ahmed Salah was my guide through a tour of the Giza pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum. He was amazing - knowledge, kind, and very detailed! Throughout the day we got to see a good number of things in between each of the main stops such as a papyrus/paper making demonstration, a camel ride, and a tourist shop for the obligatory souvenirs. I absolutely recommend him! It was a fantastic day!

Best tour
Today was my last day in Egypt and was the best end my guide Ahmed and my friend Hani were the best and very helpful food was very testy

Tour was decent but experience could’ve been better.
My goal was to see the pyramids and museum and that was met. But what i found unpleasant was that i thought the camel/horse ride was already included in my trip but nope i was asked to pay 20usd. I purposely chose to pay everything on this tour(tickets etc) upfront so that i do not need to fork out anything extra. As i was unprepared for this, i did not bring extra cash and decided to skip it. Another thing that was rather weird, was how the guide insisted i had to do my review before he sent me off to the car to take me back to my hotel. I found this rather pressurizing as he started giving me all kinds of compliments (so cringe) to get a good review on Trip Advisor. Which i did as i was worried as a solo traveler anything can happen to me. Also the car was quite old. For the price that i paid, i expected more. Also guide kept reminding me of tipping (and he is well aware that this is not my first day in Cairo)

Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Lunch Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
