Amazing, tailored trip to experience the beautiful landscapes of Kerala with a most helpful and friendly driver / guide.

From the start of planning our trip to Kerala the communication with Bout India was very good and all queries were promptly answered professionally. We spent two weeks traveling by car from Kochi to Kanyakumari the southern tip of India and returning by a very comfortable train ride. Everything went according to plan and timing which was amazing given the traffic in this part of India. The tour was well planned and we usually spent two nights in each hotel which also gave us a chance to relax between sightseeing tours. We took several boat trips as the area around Kochy is full of canals and waterways. An overnight on a comfortable house boat in Aleppy with a very helpful and friendly crew and excellent food was a very enjoyable experience. The star of the show for us was Denis our driver whose style of driving was much more Indian than European which required a bit of getting used to but got us everywhere safely. Denis was always punctual always thinking ahead and went out of his way to make our trip the success that it was. My wife had her birthday during this trip and Denis organized a birthday cake without any prompting, what a nice surprise. The hotels were well chosen and all very comfortable. We never experienced any crowds or long waiting times at either hotels or tours. This trip I would describe as perfect for couples wanting to discover Kerala at their own pace.

Response from the operator: Dear Harry, Kerala has a way of surprising you at every turn, and it sounds like it did exactly that! We are so glad the journey felt unhurried and well paced, and that the planning gave you and your wife the space to truly soak in each destination. The backwaters, the houseboat in Alleppey, the drive down to Kanyakumari, Kerala really does offer such a beautifully layered experience, and knowing that every detail came together seamlessly throughout means a great deal to us. It also warms our hearts to know that your wife had such a special birthday moment along the way. Those little touches are what make a trip truly unforgettable. Thank you for trusting us with your Kerala adventure, and for taking the time to share your experience so warmly. We hope it won't be your last time in India. Warm regards, Team Bout India

    Beautiful Kerala

January trip organized by ‘Bout India in was excellent. We knew we wanted to go to Kerala and shared our interests and worked closely with the agency to put together a ten day week in Kerala plus 3 days in Delhi. Bout India supplied wonderful drivers, comfortable transport and excellent accommodations. We appreciated the local guides in Kochi, Delhi, And Munnar for their local knowledge and experience. Our trip was disrupted early by a cancelled flight (Air Canada) that delayed the start by three days. While this could have been disastrous, and required significant additional work for ‘Bout India; cancelling and rescheduling drivers and hotels, all was handled smooth, confidently and our trip rescued! We would welcome the opportunity to book with this team again and will if we are lucky enough to return to India. First class operation.

Response from the operator: Dear Marcia, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that your January trip to Kerala and Delhi turned out to be such a memorable one. It’s wonderful to know that the itinerary we crafted together reflected your interests so well and that you enjoyed the drivers, comfortable transport, accommodations, and knowledgeable local guides along the way. We truly appreciate your understanding and kind words regarding the unexpected flight cancellation. While disruptions like that can be stressful, we’re glad our team could step in quickly, reorganise the logistics, and ensure your journey was smoothly back on track. Your trust and flexibility meant a lot to us. Thank you for calling Bout India a first-class operation; it means the world to our entire team. We would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you back and plan another unforgettable journey whenever you return to India. Warm regards, Team Bout India

    Perfect Kerala Adventure

I worked with Bout India to create a trip that worked for the very specific timings we had. They answered the brief perfectly. For example, I wanted to include motorbike riding and horse riding for my husband and myself plus birdwatching . All incorporated. We prefer small boutique/ heritage hotels. Everywhere we stayed was lovely . Finally I cannot praise our driver enough: Vineesh was amazing. Super professional, an excellent safe driver , but also a lovely person who did everything possible to make our trip exactly what we wanted. He offered his local knowledge and we experienced the best Toddy shop & excellent local fish restaurants thanks to him and he was always ready to get me a fresh coconut or pineapple , both of which I developed a passion for, from good roadside vendors Kerala itself is stunning, delicious food, lovely people , amazing scenery from the tea plantations to the backwaters and beaches.

Response from the operator: Dear Kate, Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that we were able to design a trip that matched your very specific timings and interests so perfectly. Incorporating motorbike riding, horse riding, and birdwatching—while also ensuring charming boutique and heritage stays—is exactly the kind of personalised experience we love creating. Your kind words about Vineesh truly mean a lot to us. He will be thrilled to know how much you appreciated his professionalism, safe driving, and warm hospitality. Helping you discover local toddy shops, wonderful fish restaurants, and keeping you supplied with fresh coconuts and pineapples is very much in the spirit of authentic Kerala experiences, and we’re so glad he could add that special local touch to your journey. Kerala really is magical, from the tea plantations to the backwaters and beaches, and it’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the food, scenery, and people as much as we do. Thank you once again for choosing Bout India—it was a pleasure planning your trip, and we’d love to welcome you back for another bespoke adventure in India someday. Warm regards, Team BoutIndia

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kochi.

How much does God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip) cost?

    +

Prices start at $1520 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kochi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip) take?

    +

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kochi is not rushed.

Is God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip)?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book God's Own Country - KERALA (8 Days private trip)?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Kochi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kochi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kochi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
