Great experience!!
We had such a great experience! It was fun, engaging, and we learned so much along the way. Chef Christian made it even better—he was incredibly knowledgeable and so fun to be around. He created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere while still teaching us a ton. We also really appreciated how accommodating and knowledgeable he was about gluten-free needs, which made the experience even more comfortable and inclusive for us. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something unique and memorable! I

Gluten & Wheat Free Class with My 7 Year Old
My 7 year old daughter and I took Christian’s class and we had the best time. I think it goes without saying, but it’s already an amazing experience to be able to cook in Rome as someone who cannot safely have gluten! Christian shared so many helpful tricks and made sure that everyone was confident during all parts of the class, including my daughter. Her face lit up when she nailed a pasta roll and Christian yelled “BRAVA!” The pasta class is 100% gluten and wheat free for anyone who has an additional wheat allergy. The pizza is made with wheat starch (or was at the time that I took the class). So if you’re wheat free, just know which class to book! Christian made us feel at home and like family! The next time we are in Rome we’d love to do another glass! If you’re on the fence about booking, do it! It’s an amazing experience!

Amazing Gluten-Free Cooking Class!
This gluten-free cooking class was an amazing experience for our whole family, and Chef Christian was the best! I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a gluten-free cooking class, because you will come away with new skills and new recipes. Definitely come hungry, as you will be making and eating a mountain of delicious food! My 13-year-old daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease about a year and a half ago, and one thing she has been missing was taking any cooking classes. I am so happy we got to take this one on our trip to Italy, because it's one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken (and I've done lots). Chef Christian gives lots of practical advice, and it feels like his techniques would be ones I would be able to use at home. We all got to make delicious pasta and gnocchi from scratch, and they were by far the best gluten-free versions of either we've ever had. We also made gelato from scratch, which was incredibly rich and creamy. We got to learn how to make gluten-free pizza dough as well, which generated some beautiful pizzas. Afterward, Chef Christian provided all of us with his cookbooks to ensure we would be able to have all the recipes for the delicious pasta, pizza, sauces, and gelato from the class. Chef Christian was a wonderful teacher, both funny and engaging. His love of cooking and sharing his knowledge with others shone through the entire time. He was happy to answer questions and explain his thinking in creating these wonderful dishes. He was great with my kids (ages 11 and 13), and the whole family had a blast. We are excited to try making these things at home. Thank you so much, Chef Christian!

A must in Roma for anyone GF
We had the best experience learning to cook Gluten Free Pasta with Christian. The food was delicious and his methods were easy to follow. Such a beautiful location, can’t recommend highly enough ❤️
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Thank you for this wonderful review — I’m truly delighted that learning to make gluten‑free pasta with me became one of the best parts of your trip. Hearing that the food was delicious and the methods easy to follow means a great deal. What I loved about your message Gluten‑free success — creating tasty, worry‑free GF dishes is at the heart of what I do, and I’m so happy it worked well for you. Clear teaching — I design the class to be hands‑on and straightforward, so guests leave confident they can recreate the recipes at home. Beautiful setting — I’m glad the location added to the experience and helped make the evening special. If you try the recipes at home I’m here to help with any questions — from dough texture and hydration to cooking times and sauce pairings. Send a photo of your dough or finished plate and I’ll give quick, tailored tips to make sure your next meal is just as memorable. Come back anytime It would be a pleasure to welcome you again — for another class, a private session, or a meal at the restaurant. There will always be a warm welcome, a seat at the table, and more pasta to make together. Warm thanks and safe travels, Christian Righi

MUST GO
This class was absolutely incredible! As someone who has to eat gluten-free, finding authentic pasta in Italy can be tough, let alone learning how to make it from scratch. Christian made the experience so much fun! The pasta was the best I’ve ever tasted (gluten free or normal). The highlight of my trip so far- don’t miss it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Reading your review truly made my day — I’m so happy the class became a highlight of your trip. Knowing that a gluten‑free guest found authentic, delicious pasta in Rome and learned to make it from scratch is exactly why I do this. What I loved about your note Celiac‑friendly success — creating worry‑free, restaurant‑quality GF pasta is my promise, and I’m thrilled it delivered for you. Fun and relaxed teaching — I aim to make technique feel playful and approachable, so I’m glad the class felt enjoyable as well as instructive. High praise for the pasta — being called the best you’ve ever tasted, GF or not, is the highest compliment I can receive. Quick chef tips to keep the Rome flavour at home Dough feel: aim for a soft, slightly tacky ball that holds together. Rest time: 20–30 minutes helps GF flours hydrate and roll more easily. Cook fast: fresh GF pasta often needs only 60–90 seconds; taste early. Finish with good oil: a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil lifts delicate GF textures. I’m so glad you had a memorable evening. If you try the recipes at home and want a quick tip or a photo critique, send one over and I’ll happily help. There will always be a seat at my table and another bottle of limoncello waiting when you return to Rome. Warmest thanks and safe travels, Christian Righi

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course cost?
+
Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gluten Free Pizza Supplement and Ice Cream Cooking Course start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
