My husband and I had the pleasure of taking a private gluten-free cooking class with Chef Christian while we were on vacation in Rome, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! As someone who has to eat gluten-free because of Celiac disease, it can be difficult to find authentic Italian cooking experiences, but Chef Christian made us feel completely at ease. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing both his culinary expertise and the traditions behind each dish. The recipes were absolutely delicious, and we learned techniques that we've already used again at home and will continue to use for years to come. Everything was thoughtfully adapted to be gluten-free without sacrificing any of the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. Beyond the cooking itself, Chef Christian was warm, welcoming, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. We laughed, learned so much, and enjoyed a meal together at the end (definitely my favorite food of all the things I tried in Italy). If you're visiting Rome—especially if you're gluten-free—I cannot recommend this experience enough. Thank you, Chef Christian, for such a wonderful afternoon and for giving us memories (and recipes!) that we'll cherish forever!

Fantastic Gluten-Free Cooking Class
My wife and I had an amazing time in Christian's cooking class. Since my wife is gluten sensitive, we really appreciated that the entire class was gluten free without sacrificing any flavor. Christian was knowledgeable, patient, and made the experience both fun and easy to follow. Learning to make fresh pasta from scratch was a highlight of our trip to Italy. And, of course, we'll never forget one of Christian's best lessons: "Cream is a crime!" It's a phrase we'll be laughing about every time we make pasta at home. If you're looking for an authentic, hands-on cooking experience with a fantastic chef, we highly recommend taking Christian's class.

Homemade GF Pasta Night
We signed up for a private, gluten-free cooking class, and it ended up being just the two of us! The class is hosted in a charming, cozy building complete with a kitchen, dining area, restroom, and a dedicated space for your belongings. We started the evening with some fresh bruschetta before diving into making three different kinds of homemade pasta using GF flour. Our instructor was incredibly informative, fun, and engaging, and the final dishes tasted absolutely delicious. To top it all off, he served wine and limoncello. We had a fantastic time!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review — it made my day! I’m really glad that your private gluten‑free class felt cozy and personal, and that the space (kitchen, dining area, restroom and storage for your things) worked well for you. Starting with fresh bruschetta, then rolling up our sleeves for three homemade gluten‑free pastas, and finishing with wine and my limoncello is exactly the kind of relaxed, delicious evening I love to share. It was a pleasure to teach you — your enthusiasm made the class fun and engaging — and I’m delighted the final dishes hit the mark. If you try the recipes at home and need any tips on dough texture, flour blends, or reheating, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: I’m always happy to help my guests recreate the experience in their own kitchens. If you’re ever back in Rome, I’d be honored to welcome you again for another class or a meal at the restaurant. Warm thanks and best wishes, Christian Righi

What a fun experience! Amazing GF pasta!
This was an excellent class! Christian clearly has years of cooking experience and is a gifted and enthusiastic teacher. The pasta was delicious… as good as any glutenated pasta I’ve ever had. We just got home and can’t wait to try some of his recipes!! Thanks again Christian!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Thank you for this wonderful review — reading that you found the class excellent and that the pasta stood up to any wheat‑based version truly made my day. I’m delighted you enjoyed the teaching, the hands‑on approach, and most of all the food. What I loved about your message Experience and enthusiasm — I’m glad my years in the kitchen came through and that the class felt lively and encouraging. Pasta praise — hearing that the gluten‑free pasta was “as good as any glutenated pasta” is the highest compliment I can receive. Excitement to cook at home — I’m thrilled the recipes inspired you and that you’re eager to try them once you’re back. A few practical tips to get you started at home Dough texture — gluten‑free dough needs a slightly different feel: aim for a soft, slightly tacky ball that holds together without being sticky. Hydration — different GF flour blends absorb water differently; add liquid gradually until you reach that soft, workable texture. Cooking times — fresh GF pasta often cooks faster than dried wheat pasta; test a small piece after 60–90 seconds to find the perfect al dente. Sauce pairing — lighter sauces and a little extra finishing oil help highlight the delicate texture of GF pasta. Storage and reheating — store cooked pasta with a little oil to prevent sticking; reheat gently in a pan with a splash of water or sauce to revive texture. If you need help, I’m here If you try the recipes and want feedback, send a photo of your dough or finished plate — I’ll happily give tailored tips. Whether it’s adjusting hydration, swapping flours, or troubleshooting a sauce, I’m just an email away and always glad to help my guests succeed at home. Come back anytime If you return to Rome I’d love to welcome you again — for another class, a private session to master a shape, or a meal at the restaurant. There will always be a warm welcome, a fresh bottle of limoncello, and more pasta to make. Thanks again for your kind words and for choosing the gluten‑free class. It was a pleasure cooking with you, and I can’t wait to hear how your first attempts at home turn out. Warm regards, Christian Righi

GF pasta 10/10
Fun and engaging class and one of our favorite experiences in Rome. The pasta is delicious, the location is stunning, and chef Christian is kind and welcoming. We made 3 types of gf pasta and all were incredible. He provides a recipe book so it’s even easier to take your new skills home with you.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Thank you for this lovely review — reading that the class was fun, engaging and one of your favorite experiences in Rome truly made my day. I’m delighted the pasta hit the mark and that the location and atmosphere added to the evening. What I appreciated in your words Three gluten‑free pastas — I’m so glad all three turned out well for you; that’s exactly the result I aim for. Stunning location — the setting is chosen to feel warm and a little bit special, so I’m pleased it resonated. Kind and welcoming — making guests feel at ease is as important as technique, and your note about the hospitality means a lot. Practical tips to take home Dough feel — for GF pasta aim for a soft, slightly tacky ball that holds together; add liquid slowly. Cooking time — fresh GF pasta cooks quickly; test a small piece after 60–90 seconds to find perfect al dente. Sauce pairing — lighter sauces and a finishing drizzle of good olive oil help the texture shine. I’m here if you need help If you try the recipes at home and want a quick tip, a troubleshooting note, or feedback on a photo of your dough or plate, please reach out — I’m always happy to help guests recreate the experience. The recipe book is designed to be practical, but a little extra guidance

Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gluten-Free Roman Feast Cooking Class with Chef Christian start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
