Giza Pyramids Tour + Egyptian Museum (Old)

Tour to the Pyramids of Giza just fantastic! Visiting one of the most iconic places in the world was exciting and even more special thanks to the tour. The guide was exceptional: prepared, kind and always available. He explained the history of the pyramids and the Sphinx in a clear and interesting way, making us appreciate every detail. Of the Egyptian museum (old) there is very little left but beautiful and interesting anyway Unforgettable experience, absolutely recommended!

A tour with Passion and Love for Egypt

This is more than 5 stars!!! Mohamed, my tour guide is very knowledgeable, not only of the place and the culture but of course with history. He has explained to me the history of Egypt briefly and had answered my questions very well. Her also have tips on how we, as tourists, be safe around Egypt. I have also asked him about what food to eat and where to eat it and he recommended some restaurants. As a bonus, he takes great pictures too! It is also a private tour so I can go whenever I want. Definitely someone who is passionate in his work and shows love for the country's rich history. Would definitely recommend.

Cairo & Giza for Beginners !

My 1st time in Egypt, on my way to a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan (& back) and I booked these guys due to their positive reviews on Tripadvisor. My nominated guide for the day was the delightful & knowledgeable Salwa and our driver Mostafa, both of whom worked hard to make my day both interesting and safe (driving in Cairo is not for the faint hearted, but Mostafa was brilliant at navigating us safely around and through the chaos of the local roads). We first visited the new Egyptian Museum of Civilisation, principally to see the Royal Mummy collection plus selected artefacts (the old Egyptian Museum of Antiquities is in the process of being wound down and there isn't much left to there to see apparently, so we gave that one a miss - especially as the Tutankhamun exhibits have mostly been packed away in readiness for transfer to their new home). We then went on to a perfumery & then a papyrus centre, both of which are geared to offering you the chance to buy souvenirs and do come with a little pressure to do so (if this isn't for you I would suggest that you respectfully ask your guide not to take you to them in the first place - for my part I asked not to participate in a camel ride and that didn't cause any issues). We then went on to the Pyramids & Sphinx which are awe inspiring to see and which Salwa explained the history of in an interesting and detailed fashion and which I subsequently backed up with a visit to the excellent evening 'Light & Sound' show, which Salwa organised for me at very short notice and for which Mostafa again took me there & back from my hotel. The trip included a nice buffet lunch at a local restaurant and overall I enjoyed a safe, fantastic day out, in good company and for a reasonable price and would wholly recommend the experience to anyone.

Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & G Egyptian Museum with Camel Ride & Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

    +

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
