Loved our experience with Phillipe at Giverny

We had a fabulous tour and experience with Phillipe, as our Guide to Giverny. He clearly loves the subject and enjoys sharing it with others. He also was extremely experienced and knew how to avoid the inconvenience of the crowds. We would take another tour with him in a heartbeat!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words. It was truly a pleasure spending the day with you in Giverny. I have always loved sharing the beauty and history of this special place, so your message means a lot to me. I’m also very happy that my experience helped make the visit smoother and more enjoyable despite the crowds. That is always my goal for our guests. I would be delighted to see you again for another tour one day! Warm regards, Philippe

    Delightful and interesting tour

This was our first visit to Giverny, and we absolutely loved the entire experience. Philippe, our driver/guide, was outstanding – friendly and highly knowledgeable (and his English is very good also). Convenient pickup right at our hotel, then a comfortable 1.5 hour private journey to Giverny in Philippe’s Mercedes mini-van (with a thoughtful stop at A13 services before arriving – for an easier bathroom break than the smaller facilities at the destination). Upon arriving, we began with a lovely, unhurried walk through Monet’s Water Lily and walled gardens, then a brief spin through his house and the gift shop. An excellent, unrushed tour with highly interesting and informative commentary. The entire trip was enjoyable from start to finish (including some helpful impromptu French lessons from Philippe along the way). I can’t rank Philippe high enough; this was one of the best overall tours we’ve had and would highly recommend it to anyone who is even a casual admirer of Monet, gardens, impressionist art, or just a nice day out in France. Merci beaucoup!

Response from the operator: Thank you sincerely for your lovely review. Your appreciation means a lot to us, and it makes me happy to know that your experience met (and hopefully exceeded!) your expectations. We would be honored to welcome you again in France :) Merci beaucoup !

    An afternoon delight in Giverny!

We had a lovely visit to Giverny on a beautiful afternoon guided tour. Our guide, Frederic Meunier, was excellent. He is very knowledgable, entertaining, and very professional. He took great care of us.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. Frederic also had a great time guiding you through Giverny and we are delighted to know that you enjoyed both the visit and the time you spent together. We always try to combine insight, stories, and attention to detail so that each guest feels fully looked after. We hope your memories of that afternoon at Monet’s gardens remain as vivid and colorful as the flowers themselves. Warm regards, Frédéric and Philippe

Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris cost?

    +

Prices start at $128 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Giverny Half-Day Guided Tour from Paris start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
