Day trip to Gibraltar, a bit meh..

A nice trip, but nothing in Gibraltar exeed any expectaions. So a bit underwhelmed. Maybe better to stay there a few days. We only climbed the Rock and saw the monkeys and caves.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the trip, although we understand that Gibraltar may have felt a little underwhelming for a day visit. The Rock, monkeys and caves are some of its main highlights, but having more time can certainly allow for a broader experience of the destination.

    Fantastic day out

The Gibraltar bus tour was a fantastic experience to get out for a day. Luis, the guide, was exceptionally nice and experienced. Pick up point in Benalmadena was convenient and clearly described, the bus was on time, and communication through WhatsApp helped alot. We highly recommend to take tours with Visitanddo.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and recommendation! We’re very happy that everything went smoothly, from the pick-up in Benalmádena to the communication throughout the day. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Luis. We’re delighted you enjoyed your Gibraltar experience with Visitanddo!

    Good day out!

We were picked up on time with some pick ups en route. No border between Spain & Gibraltar anymore so no queues. Free time to explore and have lunch. Tours up the rock & dolphins are much cheaper when you arrive Gibraltar (rock tour €30 instead of €55 with tour company). On the way back the driver didn’t wait for people to get off just closed the doors we had to shout to be let off.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed exploring Gibraltar. Prices for optional activities may vary depending on the service and guarantees included. We’re very sorry about the situation when leaving the coach; passengers must always be given enough time to exit safely, and we will address this with the driver.

Very friendly crew, good atmosphere, good vibes. We had a perfect day! We could not see the dolphins but we stop to swim into the sea and the water was perfect

    Great Access to Gibraltar

It is a bus ride, mostly, in a decent vehicle. They did an 'experiment' with us, stopping at a small town on the way. We got off, and followed the guide to a quaint old town square a short walk away. But we only had about 15 minutes there, no stores were yet open, and the guide left us on our own to get back to the bus. Awkward! But they delivered us to Gibraltar in a timely manner and got us efficiently through customs of Spain and Gibraltar, both in and out.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊 We’re glad to hear that the transport to Gibraltar was smooth and efficient, and that you were able to get through customs without issues 🚍✨ We understand that the brief stop in the small town felt awkward, especially with only 15 minutes to explore and stores not yet open. Your feedback is very valuable and helps us improve timing and guidance at stops to ensure a smoother experience for future travelers. We’re pleased that, overall, the journey was timely and organized. Thank you for sharing your thoughts — it helps us enhance our tours for everyone visiting Andalucía and Gibraltar 🌿

Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.

How much does Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol cost?

    +

Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.

Is Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 165 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol?

    +

Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gibraltar Day Trip at your Own Pace from Malaga & Costa del Sol start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Malaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Malaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Malaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
